Hi Everyone,

I've started a new area - The Parent's Page. You can access it from the top right. You can submit all your baby/grandchild/kid photos here, and they will show up quicker than the other sections. This is also the 'home' for the guess-the-baby comps (though you can still post anywhere).

The final days of our trip were spent in Buenos Aires and we paid a visit to La Boca, which I think was their old port re-vamped. It was a lovely colourful place with street artists, tango themes everywhere and it was lovely to just wander around. A real Bohemian atmosphere. We went to a couple of cabaret evenings to see the tango, and wow! could they move. It was fabulous.

6:10 Shaved 11 seconds off my best today. Always a good thing. Good Maen all!
 |  |
They just covered the tango this morning on the Today Show, Anne. It is a fabulous dance, isn't it?
 |  |
Yes, Kristi, it is so quick and the leg movements are amazing. Great to watch
 |  |
11:08 Thanks for sharing your travels with us Anne. Great to have the comments also.

Well Done, Nice Street

Simple puzzle.
 |  |
Great shot, Anne. Good morning. Weather just too boring to inflict on people today.
 |  |
2:09 today... this one was particularly easy. No logic involved, just plug and chug.
 |  |
6:13 Love to see it myself one day...
 |  |
7:28 and a fabulous picture, Anne. I assume you've been practicing your tango ever since?
 |  |
12:24 Another fabulous pic, Anne! La Boca means 'the mouth'. It is the old port. The fishermen and port workers were given scraps of wood and metal as well as any leftover paint by their employers. These materials were then used to construct homes and shops, resulting in the multi-coloured 'patchwork' look of the area.

4:20 Woot Maen

4:27 Colorful buildings... looks like fall there. I didn't even know Buenos Aires _had_ autumn! :)
 |  |
Anne you lucky thing! I missed La Boca (but i have a postcard). Was it within walking distance from the city centre plaza de mayo?

My best memory of Buenos Aires is stumbling into a bar doing karaoke at 5am and having a local dedicate a song to his new 'Australiano' friend. =)
 |  |
Des, at least it sounds as if you had a good time. We were actually taken there by bus as part of our city tour, but it would have been within walking distance, but a good walk.
 |  |
You're up very late Des. It's almost 11:00 here and I'm off to bed. Work tomorrow.
Good Night all zzzzzzzzzz

Before I go, thank you Jean for your explanation of La Boca
 |  |
Good Maen to all, and thanks again Anne for being the Sudoku travel guide! Sounds (and looks)like it was a wonderful vacation!

Place of the Tango.
 |  |
8:45. Two beautiful days of rain. Thank goodness.
 |  |
6:39 - very easy today
 |  |
Anne, I've enjoyed the travel pictures, and your comments have made them even more interesting. Jean, your added comments about La Boca's beginnings really added to bringing the town to life. Thanks to both of you! Isn't it wonderful what some can do with other's throw away scrap?

Bright and colorful buildings, thanks for the info on how they were given the paint. Most people are afraid to be so bright and cheerful. It makes the area.

I've been doing Sudoku on the internet since last spring when I had my hand in a cast and couldn't hold a pencil to do the ones in the newspaper. But only the last week or so have I been reading the comments. I've like your South America pictures, Anne, and your weather reports, Ian. But my big question is: What is maen--sometimes written mAen and maEn? Thanks in advance for your answer.
 |  |
5:56... What a colorful neighborhood. Thanks Anne for sharing your photos with us!!

Sal, 'maen' stands for Morning, Afternoon, Evening and Night. We capitalize the letter for our current time. It is 4:20pm here, so I would say 'Good mAen to all'.
