Al and Big Red: thanks for answering. I was thinking perhaps there are some Native American dwellings, like pueblo homes in the southwest US or Mexico, that were here before Europeans came to North America.

Well done! A comment to be proud of! Detailed, precise, credited. The poster of the picture on the Tough could take a lesson from you.

Well Done Wild pig?

Are those natural markings on the hog's back?
Does anyone have a theory about why on some puzzles the numbers just seem so obvious to you and others they don't? And it doesn't always go along with easy, medium, hard, tough.

what a hog!

Junebug--the oldest continuously lived in buildings in the US is indeed a Pueblo in New Mexico lived in by the Acoma Indians. They have lived there since the 11th century.

11:18 slow today.

6:00 took me longer than the tough puzzle today. The markings on the back of a warthog are natural. They have long hair on their backs (kind of like a horse's mane) and it is usually lighter on the ends from the sun.

Aussie soccer rocks!!!!! Go, 'Roos! Scoreless at 82min. They've had some great chances. Time will tell.....

Sorry, my Aussie friends - another game decided by the referee - there is no fairness in futbol.
 |  |
has he just closed down his shop? the warthog, that is...hopefully someone will get that reference! good mAen all.
 |  |
re Junebug's message above, I've also often wondered how the difficulty ratings are determined, but moreso with the ones they print in the newspaper (M. Mepham's). I can often breeze through a 'Diabolical', when two days before I had problems with a 'Moderate'.

Good mAen all!

maen all! the wildest thing about these pigs is that the locals drive herds of them into canals or swamps with trucks and atv's so that they can catch them alive where they bog down. then they fatten them to get rid of the awful taste any rooting animal has before they butcher them. later, deltz

18:48. Not so crash hot; still morning, still irritable from 'medium'.
A lean porker though the fowl look nice and plump.
Have a good one all.

good Monday maEn...... another easy one.

Well I guess his mother loves him???
 |  |
Hurrah! Finally one of mine comes up when I do the puzzle. I've uploaded pictures before and they always seem to show when I'm away or don't do the puzzle.

Re Warthogs: They can be tame. There was one at the lodge where we stayed that had adopted the place. It rejoiced in the name of Pork Chop. (This isn't it.)
