Look at that water and its color ..blue. I wish that the water..s in India can become unadulterated like that with or without the Hippo. It is not a dream since blue is supposed to be the eternal color (some gods have this color). Now I understand what is keeping the environment clean and it looks like that is what is divine.

Ram: Some waters have too much silt to be blue, but they are still clean. And, some waters are blue, but still polluted. However, I agree with your sentiments. Too many people everywhere, and not enough economic cost for polluters.

Hi everyone! great photo, somedays I wish I lived near the water, but then I'd always be worried one of my kids might drown, yes I am a worrier! especially when it comes to children that includes everyone elses!!!

Ram, Martha is right I live near the Murray River & its not blue either but it is clean. Great photo of the Hippo's isn't the little one cute.

This is a grand photo. Hippos are herbivorous, but do they eat weed underwater, or only graze on the land?

Maen all - grew up not too far from here and I think the waters in these regions are pretty clean because there are comparatively few humans around - humans being the worst polutants on the planet. This is not to say the water is 'safe' to go into or drink - big beasties aside - because bilharzia More...
