Those are lovely! My eyes long for flowers in my garden. My lavender looks so lonely out there amid the snow.

I love the aqualigia (columbine) but they do not do well in our climate.

I saw wild columbine growing in a wooded wilderness in southern KY, just outside of the mouth of a small cave.

These are the right colors but a little different shape than the profusion of columbine that grows wild all over the Sierra Nevadas. When I photograph this flower, I like to get a "front view," which means lying flat on my back looking up! Yeah, I know, I just don't think about what the woodland creatures have left behind on the spots where I choose to lie!
