There are over 200 species of Indian Paintbrush in western North America, so I suspect this is one of those. However, I'm not a botanist, so I just enjoy the beauty in the midst of sparse foliage.

It looks different from the Indian paintbrush in the California Sierra, and yet I can see they are from the same family.

Imagine my delight when I saw that the picture on Hard is also of flowers!!! It's better than Christmas. (I'm working my way from Tough to Hard.) I too enjoy the pictures of Utah & would love to go there.
