Forgive the repetition, but I posted the following message in "the twilight zone" (minutes before the changeover:

Rayray, you've been to Ingham many times?! How long ago was that? Are you in the geology field? I know of Ewan, as my grandmother lived there back when it was a thriving mining township. We don't normally go there, usually only as far as Hidden Valley or Paluma.

all - another beautiful day in So. Oregon - leaves are starting to fall.

Great sunset - some of the most beautiful are when there are fires in the area.

I left the pair of videos related to 9-11 on my U-tube. I had planned to change out the videos yesterday, but More...

Perhaps not to maliciously bore us,

In attempting Beethoven’s unfinished:
their quality’s somewhat diminished.
For most of the sheep are tone deaf -

Susan from Ingham:
I used to go to Ewan in early 1970s. I was studying the plants there in relation to surface minerals. I used to drive various routes. My usual one was through Palluma and Hidden Valley then on to the race-course at Ewan itself. In Palluma (a wonderful place), I used to More...

This story is way too long! ( It will be posted in parts) So, dont read it unless you are rested and are really needing a soul shakeing belly laugh.

part 2

I grabbed for him with my left hand. After a few misses, I finally

managed to snag his tail. With all my strength, I flung the evil

rodent off to the left of the bike, almost running into the right

curb as I recoiled from the throw.

That More...

His attacks were continuing, and now I could not reach him. I was startled, to say the least. The combination of the force of the throw, only having one hand (the throttle hand) on the handlebars, and my jerking back unfortunately put a healthy twist through my right hand and into the throttle. A More...

Rayray, thanks to your wonderful contribution, I shall have this uncontrollable smirk on my face as I am reminded of sheeps' musical version of Beethoven's!

Now picture a large man on a huge black and chrome cruiser, dressed in jeans, a very raggedly torn T-shirt, wearing only one leather glove, roaring at probably 80 mph, still on one wheel, with a large puffy squirrel's tail sticking out of the mostly closed full-face helmet. By now, the screams More...

Rayray, I was in primary school then. It's a pity that my dad and grandmother are no longer alive to ask about the station owner, but he's probably still there. I know Dad used to go to the Ewan Races in the 50s. I think the family owned a tin mine. You'll find the road to Paluma much superior to More...

Miz Tricia I do apologize for interrupting your comical story of the he-man and the insane squirrel. ROFL!!! Squirrels are devious! At my former school, we had a garden we thought was squirrel proof, until one day we saw a squirrel hanging UPSIDE DOWN from a branch helping himself to our produce!

Susan from Ingham:
That is incredibly interesting. The family I know have a very small station with cattle, but in the 'good old days' the station was essentially a tin show and that is why their station is very small - because it was mainly a mineral prospect. Tin went downhill of course so More...

everyone. Didn't time today. Still drying tears from my eyes (from laughing so hard) after reading MixTricia's squirrel story. I was a naturalist for 9 years and meet many squirrels in that time. It is entirely possible that the story is true!!

Great story MizT! Today's sunset is a challenging jigsaw if played with 'hard' option, even with Gath's handy "piece snap" feature.

What a squirrel! I have never heard the like!
Someone I know was knocked off his motor-bike by a pigeon, and sometimes, a squirrel, while standing on its hind legs, comes and knocks on my living-room window; but I have never encountered such aggressive squirrel activity as you describe.
