Good Maen Sudokuland! It is a cold day in alabama today, about -3C or 27 degrees this morning. After having LOWS of only 50 last week, this hurts! Seems we shall have at least a week of winter now, cold and colder! Even that S word mentioned for the end of the week. Well, a mixed percipitation, if More...

OH JUDY, if I do not put the soiled clothes into the washer, they tend to breed in the laundry hamper and I have even MORE of them to wash!!

JAMIE, good luck back in the class room today with your arm in a sling. I know that cannot be comfortable for you! When you get home today, take that pain pill and go down for a nap, you are probably gonna be very tired!

NURSERY-RHYME FORENSICS

THE UNFORTUNATE MISS MOFFET - was born under the Sign of the Spider, which has now been horoscopically banned as being too scary even for the over-70s. The stars of the constellation; packed in boxes and sold as unseasonal ornaments for Christmas trees; More...

MizT - unfortunately I really need to get some grading done when I get home, but then I WILL do as you suggested!
Keith - unfortunately, the doc found more damage than expected when he got in, but everything should be good now. Just four weeks in a sling then the fun of rehab. Thanks for asking.

Well, THAT clears that up, Rayray! LOL!
Where, exactly, is the Lucy-National Spider Museum? I'm up for a visit!
Stained tuffets have always been an interest of mine!

Jamie: I have been following your pain - but I missed on how the injury developed. Indeed it does sound very painful and worrying and I hope you recover fully and more quickly than you anticipate.

Jamie, do you have the dreaded foam "wedge" supporting your arm? My husband said dealing with that was more uncomfortable than the post-surgery pain!

Kathy - yes! It is a real bother. I go back to the doctor Wednesday to get the full info on time frame and such for rehab.

jamie, my interest was a bit selfish, since I went through shoulder surgery years ago myself. I don't know about any dreaded foam wedge, but did have my arm strapped to my stomach for 6 weeks before I could start "trying" to move it again. I was amazed when you said you'd be back in the More...

Cold and snowing here in Ottawa. Made me think of warmer places. Enjoy the Beach Boys performing "Kokomo." And JAMIE, you should consider going there to recover, as I understand they have great "slings"!

jamie, happy to hear things went well with the surgery. Get into the rehab as quickly as they will let you. I speak from experience. Two years ago I had my shoulder replaced. I have almost full range of motion. DO the rehab. You will HATE it now but you WILL be glad later.

On the first page there were a couple of ideas that were developing. Kevin/Utah - had started a Sudokuland Anthem to the tune of "Oh Christmas Tree"/"Oh Taunenbaum"

Also Shaz's idea of a Sudokuland T-shirt - that members could buy and wear to a prominent site or More...

This is what they had come up with for the Anthem - so far:

Sudokuland, Sudokuland, how many square's are filled in?

Enjoy the fun 'till all are done, and see the picture hidden there

I made an attempt to start a Sudoku anthem as well....

There is a site, where all is bright,
And people GATHer often.
To play a game, through day and night,
And meet old friends forgotten.
We have such joy,
With number games,
And some employ,
Their secret names.

For all those in Victoria, Australia, hope those who have a family member looking for first round university offers were successful. My daughter was one of the lucky ones getting her preference for primary teaching. Reading in this morning's paper it's scary to read that 33% of students have missed out.
