I remember sitting on the floor in front of a wheel chair while the woman explained why she had a number tattooed on her arm. I still want to cry when I think about it.

Dorthea... Both parents of a dear friend of mine survived Auschwitz. Her father died when she was young, but her mother is still alive, but has spent her lifetime with health problems due to the awful things done to her there. It's hard to believe that there can be such atrocities done on such a beautiful planet.

Years ago, a small AME church held a big fund raising dinner every year. My parents always took us. Two things that have stayed with me all these years occurred there. The first was seeing and listening to the very first transistor radio in town. What a sensation that was. The other was meeting an old black gentleman who had been born into slavery. How times have changed!

My mother and I, went to play music at The Goldsmith house. We didn't know anyone there, but I just couldn't resist talk to that woman. She was so sad, but she seemed to enjoy talking to me.

Elise use a pack of frozen peas not just ice. It moulds better to the shape of the knee, doesn't drip water everywhere and you can refreeze.
Also if you put a couple of house bricks or blocks of wood under the bottom feet of the bed it helps tp raise your feet a little
