Help needed!
In the US, there is a chain of shops that sell fancy, funky stuff, like high class gadgets, great luggage (I saw a great men's carry on, wheelaboard case). I thought the name of the shop was Brookfield, Brookvale.... something like that.
Any help appreciated.

Maybe the store doesn't exist any more. I saw that case when I was in Hawaii last year, at the Ala Moana Centre. I just got creative and Googled Ala Moana's store directory, and can't find it on the list, or on the mall map in the position I thought it was.

Dearest Dave,

You've truly been too kind! I must protest; I don't deserve such generosity.
The thought of getting three French hens amazes me.
Yet, I am not surprised--what more should I expect from such a nice person.

Love,
Agnes

What is a stable?

Every Christmas morning, when my kids were little,
I read them the nativity story out of the big family bible.

When my son was old enough to talk, he asked me what a stable was.

I thought for a moment how to explain it to him in terms he could understand,
then told him,"It's something like your sister's room, but without a stereo."

Good morning all -
Aww Glenn - I was going to use turniket in desperation!
Happy Birthday to Starr and Amy!
Jerry - thanks for the story about Jack Benny and thanks to Heidi for the further info.
Kathy - agree with you about the joys of hearing children sing - went to my grandie Hayley's Christmas concert a few weeks ago - it was wonderful.

Specially for CG

Two wanderers up North, who didn't get their Berings Strait and were lost, met up with an Ice-Maiden. One said to the other,
"I wonder if she can tell us which way to go"
The other replied,
"I don't know; Alaska"

She overheard them and said,
"I don't know Alaska either:

I've decided today I shall take a break from baking cookies. This morning from my alarm went off, I almost ran to the kitchen to get the cookies out of the oven, then realized that was the alarm clock not the oven alarm. Argh!!! I was a bit hazy morning. Not too much of a hangover. Oh but the bourbon balls were goooooodddd!
