Maen all! Well, my sister & her family are officially in the Land Down Under for a year's stay. Maybe I'll get that opportunity to visit after all!

Jeana, make the opportunity you will not regret it and the chance may not come again. Start planning now. The earlier you book you get the better airfares.

How wonderful, Jeana! Be sure to let our Sudokufamily down-under know if you plan on visiting. Meeting them was the best part of my visit there! ...and GannieMo is right. I paid $775 roundtrip 6 months before leaving and flew all the way with Qantas (the BEST airline!). When I checked a similar flight on Qantas the week I was leaving it was going for $2600!

Usually I can eat clementines until I turn orange, but the ones I've bought so far this year are dry and woody. Anybody else noticing this (or is it just me? )

Thanks, GannieMo & Vici, I will certainly keep checking the fares. So far, the least expensive round trip airfare I've seen from Maine to Sydney was around $1500. I'll have to check Qantas.

"I need a list of your employees and how much you pay them," demanded the agent.

Well, all, I'll be going back to Washougal later today. In preparation for house guest and family Christmas festivities. With the very slow internet dial-up I have available, My online time is limited.
Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas or, which every, holiday you may be celebrating!

Cathy, I got clementines towards the last of the season that were woody & dry. I HATE them, too! So far this year they've been fine. Maybe its improper storage prior to getting them in the market, a bad season or just the luck of the draw, who knows?

Jerry, enjoy your family festivities. I'm sure you'll be missed on the site. WELL.... maybe and maybe not! Have a nice Christmas!

Rayray, loved your Christmas poem! Glad I didn't miss it.

I really HATE to rub it in, but ... last night we made fresh-squeezed Valencia Orange Juice with the last of that fruit ... and the Navel Oranges, Mandarin Oranges (Clementines?), and the Tangerines will be ready in just a few weeks ... Maybe the year-round citrus in our backyard accounts for our orangish skin tones ...

Haven't seen seedless mandarins up here in Ottawa for at least two years. Stop hogging them all Judy!

Slurp! Munch! Dribble! Slosh! M-m-m-m-m! Wipe! Sip! Yum-m-m-m! Who's hogging them, Greg? Our one Mandarin tree supplies all of our needs and provides half-time snacks for the soccer team our son coaches! And the adjacent Tangerines will find their way into the toes all of the Christmas stockings!
