My new camera is a CanonSX110IS. It has 10X optical zoom that with software goes to 40X for far away things, and it has a macro mode that lets me get some very close-up shots of small things as well.

Yesterday evening around 5 pm (going home time)the roofers announced that they had laid the last roof tile and fixed all the guttering and would be back today just to deal with the down pipes(to the rain reservoirs) Low and behold the rains started around 6 pm, after 3 dry weeks, and have continued all night. Talk about timing - just need the maçon to build the end wall of said roof et voila!

Waiting for the oven to heat up so I can reheat some mini quiches for my dinner. Off to work in another 30 or so minutes, so look out world I will be up and working all night!

That is, of course, if there is work to do. If I run out of things to do, you'll probably find me popping in and out here.

Had a MRI yesterday evening of my ankle that's been sore since the first week of July. Picked up the report today - one stress fracture, and either another stress fracture or it's a healing fracture of another bone. No wonder it's been sore!!!

Makes me cross really, that's it has taken so long to diagnose, along with the time (and cash) wasted on physio for the last 6 weeks.

I think I can look forward to spending several weeks in a walking boot after my sports doctor gets back to town next week!
