We'll only get a partial eclipse but it won't be until this evening when it shows. So I'll have plenty of time to teach my little ones the danger of looking directly at the sun!!

Good mAen, good people. I'm watching the West Coast eclipse progressing on TV. The moon is just about to start moving its way across the surface of the sun visible to us here in SW Michigan. There are a lot of heavy low clouds moving in and ... because my car slipped a belt this morning More...

So I had to have a tow truck take my car in to the mechanic about 2 hours ago. NOW my husband calls me and tells me the wheel bearings in our TRUCK are bad, it just started making noise when he drove out for lunch and the wheel is wobbly! What is it about eclipse day and its effect on Plum household vehicles?

Okay. I'm happy and appreciative. The clouds thinned and the sun moved out from behind a last heavy cloud about 15 minutes before eclipse maximum here. It got down to where it still seemed totally daylight but the sunlight and shadows were noticably weak. We used our safe viewing glasses and saw only a fingernail crescent of sun.

Only a partial eclipse here (about 68%), but still incredible to see - thanks to our neighbour who lent us a welding mask.

Very partial here, but I watched changing images through little holes onto surface below. Even better was watching State Department employees coming out to see what was to be seen. It looked like an out of control fire drill, without teachers keeping everyone in orderly lines.

Hello everyone! Our eclipse was sort of a bust even though we were hoping & ready - but clouds arrived!

BUT: Next solar eclipse is April 8, 2024; it will be visible mostly on our North American east coast: totality first touches Mexico, enters the United States at Texas, cuts a diagonal to Maine, and visits the maritime provinces of Canada.

Good morning/Afternoon everybody. I've experienced
one total eclipse, around 4:40pm in the centre of Melbourne Aust. We were standing on the footpath between tall buildings in Collins St, when the umbra occured, it lasted around 2 1/2 minutes. It was amazing to watch the birds roost and then More...

I'm afraid we are going to have to change the name of the ECCO puzzle to EEWCCO (Everyone Except Wombat Can Create One), but I'll try to make amends , and apologise for the stuff up.
The first three are okay, but not the last two. I can resolve it by changing those two in two different ways. More...
