Thank you for all the e-cards and well wishes on my page and on Easy.

Julie - interesting photo. I wish you could all have heard the birds singing - they are still around and chirping like it is Spring - wishing all a Merry Christmas (or maybe alerting us to some impending natural doom - More...

Happy new year to all our northern hemisphere friends! no, i'm not being well organised and getting in early - i always look at the winter solstice as being the beginning of a new year - the days get longer, summer is closer and there is a change in the vegetation around you. a wonderful positive More...

One of our dinner guests last night brought a bottle of Aussie wine called "Boarding Pass". It was a nice Shiraz, but I would buy it just for the label! If any of you get a chance to check it out on a trip to your local wine shop, do so. The back label is hysterical (I thought so, anyway!!!)

For those of you who are interested, I just thought I would mention that Sydney has turned on a 'Day Made In Heaven' today. Clear blue skies and a cool/warm breeze - temp in the mid 20s. A perfect welcome for my brother's family who have just arrived from Amsterdam.

GrannieMo and CynB - per yesterday's comments about people stealing things - some people are just unbelievable PIGS. No other explanation. Pure selfish pigs. Thank God the rest of us aren't like that. As long as I take my anti-depressant I know I will act like a normal human being. Now that I'm caught up on the posts, it's time to do the puzzle and see the picture!

W00t! W00t! 3:45, my best time ever I think! Must be that shot of coffee liqueur I added to my bowl of ice cream (Edy's French Silk, my fav!) The tree is done, the presents are wrapped, and I finally got all the cards mailed today! So I can relax a bit. Guess I have to hit the grocery store More...

I enjoy the same Linda! Kahlua over a rich vanilla bean ice cream! Ooooh! Here comes another sideways looking at you! ;-) hiccup!
Another treat is umeshu (Plum wine which is really a liquor) over vanilla ice cream. Hmmm I must have that as well! Oooops ;-) hiccup!

Suzanne (seattle) thanks for introducing us to adbusters.org and buy-nothing day. Too bad I'm done with my shopping! Well maybe next year....Lots of the gifts under the tree are things I would buy my kids anyway, but yes, I do get caught up in the frenzy and end up buying much more than I should!!

Shosho - You cannot be considered a lush unless you think "Boons Farm" is upscale - lushes keep to Thunderbird & Nighttrain. I know, I use to work down on 7th & Alvarado - across from McArthur Park ("Someone left the cake out in the rain...♪♪♫♪♪♫♫♪)

Linda - you got to buy gifts for the kids. Remember Christmas is for Children and for parents and elders to see the delight in their eyes. The older you get, the more you realize the real joy is in giving (when it is appreciated and unexpected) rather than receiving.
