I do love Robins, the British ones are smaller, chubbier with a brighter red pinafore than the ones here in the US. I save all my British Christmas cards that I receive that have a robin on them, I have quite a collection.

Had a great day yesterday. Started off wishing my grandson, a Happy Birthday, and hearing a howl over the phone followed my DIL's voice saying, "No Brandon you may not eat the phone!" A year ago, you may have heard my thumpings as I paced the waiting room!

Then I went with a very dear friend, best of friends since we were 12 (no I won't tell how long ago that was but I assure you there weren't any dinosaurs roaming at the time) to hear her sister perform in a jazz band at the Coffee Cartel. There's nothing like enjoying the performance then having the performers sit down with you afterwards!

Oh yes we went to eat at a seafood restaurant where they tell you where the fish or shellfish came from - New England, Atlantic, etc. Yummy, ever have a salmon roasted on cedar plank with northwestern berry sauce? I eat the whole thing, except the plank of course, but I was tempted to lick it!

JEB: Please CANCEL your flight arrangements. There will be no Dust Bunny hunt. After several hours of counseling and therapy, I have decided to trap my dust bunnies and nurture them as pets. I quote from expert documentation, Heather Diodati's Taming the Wild Dust Bunny: "One pet that is easy More...

Oh dear wrong tense - not eat but ate. Although I wouldn't mind doing it again! lol My fingers are having a difficult time catching up with my brain. When they fall a paragraph behind we're in for an interesting conversation!

CG, I think I own a breeding ground of dust bunnies. I shall protect it by not doing the housework soooo meticulously!

But dust bunnies that roam outside their sanctuary are fair game! Jeb, you have my permission to hunt the dust bunnies at my place. In fact I'll even offer the use of my jebvac!!! ROFL!

CG, your description of the STDB organization is hilarious! You hit upon the reason why I have so few visible in my home ... the smooth floor revelation ... it's certainly not a product of my obsessive house cleaning! When you're mostly carpeted, as we are, the little devils are very well More...

JUDY, I was quoting Dust Bunny expert Heather Diodati. She did go on to say "Under no circumstances should you give your pet Dust Bunny liquids of any kind. Doing so is very dangerous; it may cause your pet to become waterlogged and it may either drown or will become so heavy that it will More...

Someone said they were Vietnamese ladies, but they look too affluent to me and the background is wrong for that. Look more like USA indigenous or Canadian eskimos to me. Anyone know?

That's interesting Suzy. Indonesia does not exist for the British Press. It is less important than, say, Samoa or Outer Mongolia. I suppose in Australia it is impossible to ignore a neighbour that big.

CG: What exactly is a "dust bunny"?
28/Jan/08 6:36 AM
 |  |

CG, I don't want to imply that I doubted your word, but I was just a little surprised to find that you had accurately quoted a real website. Rayray, there are pictures of dust bunnies at http://www.whimsies-online.com/tamingdustbunny.htm

Australia follows world news fairly closely Rayray, though as with most news, not always accurately. We are also getting all of the news about the primaries in the States. In contrast, when I was living in the US I wouldn't even have known there was an election coming up in Australia if I wasn't in contact with family and friends, though perhaps I was reading and watching the wrong news.

Greg we don't have dust bunnies - we have dog hair tumbleweeds! They are a renewable resource; the reappear every day.

Dust bunnies are not benign. They are plotting to take over the site and are in cahoots with the and gremlins. If you have any dust bunnies, get rid of them immediately. Our happy Sudoku home depends on it.

RAYRAY, "dust bunny" is a slang term used for dust balls that gather on your floors when they are not swept/vacuumed regularly. I guess the British Press doesn't cover Dust Bunny invasions either!

RENA, I guess I can assume you will not be supporting the Save The Dust Bunnies foundation?

KATE, you can hunt down and trap Dog Hair Tumbleweeds. They are not covered under the UN Convention to Save Dust Bunnies. Stay save while you're hunting them!

Kate, my dog tumble weeds reappear every few minutes. Our husky is going through the "big shed". When they lose all their puppy fur. I've been breathing dog fur for a while now.

Jane/Missisauga, ROFL! The site you recommended is precious! I was half attempted to adopt one but there are so many here to adopt that I declined the offer.
