I have also noticed a difference in Sudokuland and I have been posting reasonably regularly. It is as if 'there has been a fight' as you put it - but I haven't noticed one of any significance. Angie mentions she is having trouble posting. There are big gaps in posting sometimes - as Ian will point out.

Your fingers must fly fast, Chris! I put the timer on for once, and was over 3 mins for the, I agree, very easy puzzle today!

There's fewer postings on the Jigsaw pages too recently (I tend to haunt them rather than this page).

Betty and Rayray: I think that, as fewer people post a greater percentage of the comments, the absence of one or two is more noticeable.

Well thought of Ian. You may well be right as you are an expert in that department.
However the fall in post numbers did coincide with some members 'soliciting' for Facebook. I wondered perhaps if people had diverted their attention to niches on that site. I haven't done that because I don't find Facebook as straightforward or friendly as Sudokuland.
