Hi, Denny. Did I surprise you?
I'm always in favor of keeping warm. It's unseasonably cool here, but who wants to light a wood stove on the first weekend of summer? (Me. That's who.)
Keith - might you have a midweek VM for us this week?

The bridge in today's photo does not seem to be the 'over troubled water' kind. In fact, there doesn't seem to be any water at all?

Hello, Joyce. I've heard news reports that Lake Ontario's water level is at a record 100 year high level. I've seen splendid photos of swollen falls where rivers empty into the Lake but so far no photos of Niagara Falls in what must be all it's glory! How are the northern NY coasts handling the high water?

Rage, are you a night owl or night shift kind of a guy? It's a rare pleasure on the site to have someone from down under posting during your wee morning hours.

We live quite close to Washington, D.C.
While we were out and about yesterday, at first, we couldn't figure out why we were seeing so many motorcycles. Then it dawned on us that Rolling Thunder was doing it's Memorial Day ride. It's pretty impressive.

Kathy, last weekend we had our annual armed force parade in town. It's the one time of the year when the traffic jam includes tanks and missile launchers! The local high school band which my son was a member for four years always played. It was the only event my son could walk to from home a block away!

Plum, of course we have our lilikoi (Hawaiian for passion fruit) pancakes! And to top of the breakfast I had coffee I brought home from Kauai. Get this, chocolate macadamia nut flavored coffee. Just the smell of it perking made my kitchen very fragrant!

Keep watching my odometer to hit the mark for the 35,000 mile maintenance check up. Have had the car for four years. Guess I don't drive very far or that much.

On the cat drama, I'm presently having a battle of the chair with my elderly cat. She's winning! I think I have at least six inches of the chair to sit on. Problem is that every time I have to get up, she stretches out a bit more and I have to shove her legs out of the way before I put my tush on the chair!

Yesterday was a bit busy for us. I watched the memorial day parade for the first time. I've walked/ridden in it several times but had never seen it. Both the boys were in it this year. One for band and on for cub scouts.

Then we combined a 2 year old birthday party with a memorial day cook out. I need to post some current pictures for you guys. I don't think I have any on this computer thought.

POOZLE POOZLE POOZLE

May 29 OUT AND IN

Today's a perfect example of 'if you don't like the weather in Michigan, wait a few minutes because it will change.' This morning's damp chill became early afternoon's rain and thunder. After that went past, the clouds parted to allow the sun to peek through and the temp shot up to summer degrees! It took a few tries to get it right, but THIS is worth celebrating.
