Does anyone else here worry about any photos they have submitted to Gath? I don't mean landscape photos but ones of children etc.

not sure on the photos but I guess as long as entire names are not used it shouldnt be a big issue but I guess we dont know what all the weirdoes out there are up to.

Deb, I've been called naive before, but I don't see how the pictures could be used in a harmful way. I’ve submitted my son’s pictures and wouldn’t have if I thought they could be used in any way the could be considered detrimental. I do agree with getting permission first if it's not your child though.

MAMACITA - I was able to sign on to pictage.com & see the wedding pictures. When you get to Event you have to enter 'Ashley & Sean'.

SARAHOZ - There were so many people I couldn't figure out who was who other than your son & Ashley! Could you give us a picture # of one that YOU are in? Also, who are all those children - most I have ever seen at a wedding!! Maybe Ashley is a teacher??

Deb, I remember in 'the good old days' when you would joke with your parents or your kids about showing the naked baby photos to their boyfriends/girlfriends when they were teenagers. It seems a bit more sinister now, doesn't it?

NURN - Doesn't it seem strange that we spell unrepentant with an 'ant', but we spell penitent with an 'ent'. There are so many variations of proper spelling it's tough to help the lady I tutor in reading to learn them. I'm always reminding her that English is a very hard language to learn, especially the spelling part!!

KATHY - and verb conjugations are as bad as the spelling.

Deb/Brisbane I don't see any problem with having childrens pictures here on this site in particular. Let's face it.. they use children in advertising all over the world.. in that case to make a buck. Our use here is pretty inocent. And.. not much here for the creeps of the world to get hot and botherd about. They have their own sites to go to.

Worrying about the consequences of placing a photo of a child on this site??? I couldn't immagine a greater waste of time. Actually I just thought of one! Being upset with an Aunt for putting photos of your kids on here. Geez Deb, tell em to pull their heads in and think about it for a while. The photos were innocent, no real details given out, and this site is not known for paedophile activity

On the subject of meusli - a slight variation. Does any of our young Aussie ladies have a receipe for ANZACs for our American cousins. They are the best biscuits - I love 'em all especially when they are a bit soft and chewy.

DEB fr Brisbane....I agree with Rosemary and Serena...not really sure about photos being misused, but ask permission from others to use chn's photos in future. Can't see how photos might be misused unless adulterated somehow in Photo Shop or similar program. Definitely DO NOT use full names...it's safer!
