I can't believe that no one told andré that the name for compulsive window cleaning is voyeurism!

shosho - I agree. Was very disconcerted this week to see the magazines featuring Suri Cruise (she's 3, right?) in heeled shoes with matching handbag out shopping with Katie. One then went on that she found her feet got tired in heels, so Katie changed her into pink flat shoes!

Kathy that made me laugh...did you see my flikr photo of the candlestick in the conservatory? Oh Grass-hopper, ye of wise words...It got me thinking about a Catherine Tate Show sketch about cleaning windows...

Kathy, we used up all the corks we had been saving for a cork noticeboard. We all got a section (all being hubby and kids) and decorated it as wanted then glued them on to a backing board. It was VERY heavy though (a lot of corks!).

Anne,
I sense that some parents believe that early sexual experience conveys an advantage to their children. I think there is some truth in what they believe, because relaxed sexuality brings a certain flexibility to the mind, and a related ability to cope with other people. That psychological More...

How can the fault lie anywhere but in ourselves?

andré I am so envious! I love that lovely "pop" that comes with a wine bottle cork being withdrawn, but in Australia we have moved to screw tops. Sort of takes the ritual away - not quite the same but I guess it iseasier than finding a corkscrew.

Ahh, the end has come, just one or two loads of laundry left and I get to enjoy my labor for at least 15 hours.

Having to have done some major shopping recently, it is hard to find appropriate little girl clothing and shoes.
My darling 3 year old is going to be a flower girl, took 3 weeks and I stopped counting how many stores, to find appropriate foot wear. We decided on ballet slippers. My girl trips over her own bare feet, there was no way I was going to put her in heels.

And for the school clothes shopping! I wanted my girl to be cute for school, there were items out there that I would not wear. She is mainly a shorts, jeans and T-shirt child, so she can play at school.

A question for the women who are in a "long-term" relationship in which they have children. Do you consider yourselves "unmarried mothers?"

Footnote: For those whose "long-term" relationship is, in fact, a marriage, you're not part of the survey.

But there's no gap in the time of the posts.

But a few minutes ago, the time here was 14 hours behind Australia, now it's 15.

This could be one of Fiona's puzzles...

I enjoyed CG's good jokes today. They added some lightheartedness to otherwise serious discussion.

A time jump? It might be real - how would we know?
Perhaps 'time' is jumping around all the 'time'. So then it's only our deluded minds that keep on the straight and narrow.

Thanks for the boost Ian.
However, I am feeling a little bit morose today - because of the earthquake and lack of news. It niggles at me all the time

Not only that, I think that having a bastard child is almost as bad as wearing white after Labor Day.

The news from Padang is bad.
There are now known to be over 1100 definite deaths and about 3000 people still missing there.
I have no news from Julius, although that is most likely from the destruction of all the communication networks.
I rummage through many video clips on the Internet More...

Such destruction...I am very sorry Ray, I hope you get news soon.

Hello everyone, Rayray I will keep my fingers crossed for good news for you. Just goes to show that retirement is a more relaxing time as we didn't notice the DST change until I had put my pooter on and seen that the time was an hour ahead of all the clocks in the house.
