Oh, and Karen, I'm sorry about your hubby's encounter with the concrete. Glad he's okay. Is there a hole in the concrete now?

A lady approached her priest and tells him that she has a problem. "Father, my problem is that I have two female talking parrots, but they only know how to say one thing."
"What do they say?" the priest inquired.

Fiona - I just googled axoa, and it sounds scrumptious! Although I've spent some time in Basque country, all I ate was seafood while I was there. I couldn't get enough! Our favorite restaurant (on the French side of the bay) was Arrantzaleak in Ciboure.

I'm sure that restaurant is long gone - it's been ages since we were there!

Thanks for your wishes for Man. The concrete, surprisingly, did not receive any injuries, nor have to spend the afternoon in the ER nor have to return today.
Man is fine, just having to deal with paper work and people to return to work.

Kathy - an explanation of the building we demolished -
It took one push from a friends digger. It was full of rot. Built during WW2 bottom right outside toilet with midden to the right. Centre right Pig sty left lower level outside kitchen for 'doing' the pig, far left hutches for rabbit(for table) and chickens. Upper level pigeon loft. Not an inch wasted.

Mo - I googled "axoa" but never thought to google the restaurant. Duh!!! I wonder if the food is as good as it used to be. As I said, it's been ages since we were there - probably close to 20 years!

OK Kathy another answer. Steven is my Structural engineer (or labourer) The tree grew and appears to be a baby one of the big tree (sorry for using such high tech horticultural words here!)

I don't know what it is, Mo, but I assumed there would be a flowering vine growing on it eventually.

Mo, thanks for your quick answers to my questions. Now I'm going to have to go back & look at that building again. Talk about multi-purpose! Poor piggies - not far from the sty to the kitchen As for the round object that isn't a wheel - could it possibly have anything to do with wine barrels?
04/Jun/09 4:08 AM

Clue 1
It has nothing to do with wine making

Mo, I just came from your garden, it is getting lovelier by the day. A lot of hard work but the results are worth the effort. You have a nice large variety or roses. That poor old shed needed to come down.

Yes The rope was fixed to the metal loop then passed over the top and hung down for who ever to pull. The bell itself was attached to the protruding spoke which is now buried. The bell is now rung by an automated system but you can see it from our garden and definitely hear it. It strikes the hours More...
