On holidays in NZ a couple of years ago I sampled kiwi fruit flavoured sheep's milk icecream which makes use of 2 of NZ's best known products. It was - ummm - interesting.

2.07 - This might sound boring to some but my favorite flavour ice-cream has to be French Vanilla (especially from the Great Australian Ice Creamery).

But Sensodyne,
That toothpaste fine,
I've used for years and years,
Yet still ice-cream,
That sweet, cold dream
Reduces me to tears!

French Vanilla is wonderful, better if drenched with chocolate syrup.

So sorry to hear
it won't come near
to dulling down the pain.

For me, it seems
and I believe
the cold it does refrain.

KEITH from CA - could you please translate what
Alvaro from Peru has written. I've been trying to learn spanish and could understand some of it, but not all. I believe he/she is from Arequipa which is a beautiful city which I visited on my recent trip to Peru. I tried to go on this site when I was there but couldn't seem to manage it.

Anne, you've called my bluff. You probably understood as much if not more than I did. My Spanish is very limited. You saw about the best I can do. I was just doing the best I could to make him feel welcome.

Thanks Keith for replying. My spanish book is at home and I'm at work and you looked pretty impressive with your reply. Hopefully when I start up the lessons again after the holidays I might understand a bit more.

Dog Island! My dog also does not like to swim in the lake and will go to his little floatie and not budge. Oh lake memories are all I have to get me through winter.

Keith, as you say, anything for ice cream - I do miss it! There have been moments when I've thought that having no teeth might just be better than jumping out of my chair each time something cold touches them. Not to speak of going to the dentist, an experience I look on with childish terror!

These days it's not the dentist chair you must view with horror, it's almost 100% painless with any procedure. But the account will be horrendous!!!Not that I blame them, what a joh.

Again people spend thousands on holidays, cars etc then wonder why the dentist bill is so high.It's called neglect.Keep your teeth in the best possible condition ie 6 monthly checks,flossing properly and brushing correctly, can save you thousands of dollars in the long run.

Yes, but I was brought up in Africa with very poor dental facilities - and rather a long time ago. Flossing was unheard of then and brushing was a quick scrub twice a day, with little or no attention to detail. Yuk! After years of living in third world countries, by the time I got to a good dentist, the damage was done. Ouch!

my hubby used to think i lived on ice cream - when i was so much younger than i am today ... and he used to phone me up n all, he said i was always 'just having some ice cream' ... every time! and the funny part is that it might well have been true!
