Sarah Oz, my first reaction was not salty with hocolate, but on second thought, potato chips coated in chocolate might be pretty good. I'd sure be willing to give it a try. Not much that wouldn't taste better dipped in chocolate...except avocados.

Keith, what about peanuts, pretzles, peanutbutter? A friend of mine made chocolate dipped potatochips. MMMMgood. Great PMS food.

Keith: I did say VERY salty, and that even applies to potato chips (or french fries) My grandkids enjoy dipping theirs (fries, that is)in soft serve icecream when they go to Macdonalds. A favourite with local teenagers is chips and gravy as a snack. No wonder there's a weight problem among kids today!!

Read 'fries' for chips and you'll get a better picture. The English make it clear by using the terms 'crisps' and 'chips'. We Aussies have traditionally used the term 'chips' for both crisps and french fries, which can become very confusing. French fries is increasingly used these days - but never in a fish and chip shop!

Chips dipped in mayonnaise are yummy, so soft serve ice cream may work just as well

Just reading a couple of comments above and I though I may as well comment. I used to love chips (not crisps) with vanilla icecream. Yum Yum. Also love bread and apricot jam (home made of course) with thinly sliced cheese on top. Other than that, I just love food.

Judy/Bendigo, I used to love tripe in white sauce as a youngster until my older brother told me what it was. I also loved dried apricots, then he told me they were babies' ears. I still can't eat tripe! I won't eat any offal or squiggly seafood like More...

..and I really can't eat tongue, although I think I offended someone once because of it. Now who would invite someone over for dinner then cook tongue. Eeeeeew!

Myleast favourite foods are cucumber, bananas, mashed pumpkin, oysters/mussels, liver etc. I can eat a weenie bit of kidney in a steak & kidney pie but other than that no offal for me. I'm not mad keen on ice cream either - just the occasional almond magnum or macadamia ice cream will do.

Yes, Dotty, I do eat eggs that I cook myself (as long as they're not gooey) after fishing out any yucky white bits, and I do know the old joke about the restaurant patron who refused the special of the day - chicken tongue - because of where it comes from, then orders an omelette. Cooked beets salad.
Beets boiled or baked, peel and grate on coarse grater. Add salt, pepper and vinegar to taste. Add about handful of chopped walnuts per 1 beet, 1 clove of mashed garlick and 1 tsp of mayonese. Mix it all and enjoy.

Most of what appears to be on the reject lists, I absolutely love, e.g., okra, oysters, avocado, liver, salmon roe (sushi!!), olives, etc. As a treat, I'll buy an avocado, peel it, slice it, and gobble it down in an instant. 'even better with a little sour cream, colby jack cheese and tortilla chips.
