nursing a sore knee today-- fell off of my bike on a sharp turn last night on the way home from Ribfest (a local July 4th celebration) -- at least if I'd been drinking I would have had an excuse!! Well I should go take another round of advil!!

Yes, I know it's afternoon, but with with wonderful weather this weekend, one of the neighbor had a party - ALL NIGHT LONG,
hard to sleep and I did have to call to complain about the music (rap, just doesn't do it for me) at 1 and at 3 -- More...

Oh, sue - sorry about your knee - I have been riding my bike alot also - ride to the Edward for work couple times. heal quick.. Thinking about riding to ribfest today also.

Oh mymare... How awful to have inconsiderate neighbors like that. People like that are completely oblivious to other peoples needs and rights. And they'll probably think that you are the bad guy for complaining about the noise.

Notice I said "noise", not "music".

Mary, I know how you feel, we have new neighbors that are young and have parties too. the music is too bad usually, but our bedroom is on their side and we always have the windows open, so we can hear them when they are hooten' and hollerin' and usually swearing a blue streak at 3 a.m.! Haven't had to call the cops, yet!

Good morning everyone. Had to get my first puzzle done before my expected pre-dawn visitors get here. Now I'd better go tidy the house. Must get priorities right!

Is it quiet here because all of OZ is asleep?? Or is everyone here asleep, too? That sounds like a good idea.... I think I'll take a nap!

How about breakfast, lunch and almost supper at Wimbledon! What a match! Congratulations to Nadal, and in my mind they were both champions today!

And if any of our Aussie friends stayed up to watch this match, well, they will probably be asleep on the job later today!

It was a great final! The longest in Wimbledon history, in fact. I thought Nadal would win, but it was much closer than I expected. Great playing by both men!

CG - How true. We had a friend for "Breakfast at Wimbledon" - then broke out the ice cream - then broke down and made sandwiches. Fortunately, it ended before dinner time, because we'd run out of food!!

Now I've got to shut down the computer because there's a thunderstorm fast approaching.

Linda: How terrible. I know what you mean. A load of wimps who do not know how to get on with the job. I much prefer the sounds when they really are getting on with the job in hand. That can be quite stimulating.

My 2 cents about loud parties - once in a while is fine. I've been to my share of parties when I was younger. But every weekend is way toooooo much. I have called police when I woke at 5 am to find the party still going (not the first time) A neighbour put a note in her neighbours mail box about every-night music. She got a very nice note back and music turned down. Sometimes it works!

For the Canadians on the site, I changed my YouTube from the Canadian rant to William Shatner's parody of it. I do like a man who doesn't take himself too seriously.

Rayray - I'm sure it's not just Oz youth who are like that!

My neighbors used to play Mexican music late at night, You know all you can hear is the bass, and it goes on, and on, and on. One night I played Wagner at full volume. Just 2 two minutes, but they now turn it down at 10 pm.

That's good tennis.

The Pagoda is not leaning, but the stairs are not straight and they have uneven treads.

Oh dear! I haven't been there since the last bit earthquake. Still I don't think they are leaning. I was born on 48th ave and Lincoln Way. The Park was our backyard.

Oh Dorthea, then I was close by when my father took my picture there. My mother had dressed me up in a very uncomfortable frilly yellow dress and pulled my hair back with a ribbon. I was one unhappy child trying to smile!
