Do you know why the little Greek boy left home?

He felt his parents weren't rearing him properly.

You Know You're Greek When...
There are more than 28 people in your bridal party.

At least 5 of your cousins live on your street and those cousins are named after your grandfather.

You netted more than $50,000 on your baptism.

Your grandmother/mother/aunt has a More...

You know that you are not Greek when :

No one ever asks you to hold the white handkerchief while Greek dancing

You thought Greek salad had lettuce in it

There are no religious icons in your home or car

No one asks you what village you’re from

You and your More...

When I spent a few months in Wisconsin, nearly every ethnic joke I'd previously heard as a Polish joke, I reheard as a Belgian joke.

The Hollywood gynecologist had a starlet from Eastern Europe as a new patient.

He asked her if she had had a checkup recently.

She said, "No, darlink, just a Hungarian and a Pole."

Oh, Angie, that business of kicking your own upraised hand...damn, that was tricky...and painful.

Well Ian, it isn't that hard & painful at all.
My flexibility may not be what it used to be, yet I find that if I sit on a chair, raise my hand to knee level, I can raise my leg and kick my hand without any pain whatsoever :)

Hey Saylz, apparently the @ has different names depending on which language you speak. It is often called a "commercial a", but the names I found that I liked were French - arobase that is supposed to be derived from the Spanish arroba. Apparently arobase has no other meaning. Sort of fits with ampersand, too! What a wonderful question.

I don't like broccoli or asparagus - do you like broccoli and asparagus ?
08/Dec/09 8:22 PM
 |  |

Together?
08/Dec/09 8:33 PM
 |  |

nope - just either one of them. People's tastes are different, for no particular reason - just different. Now I quite like the broccoli plant, I think it's attractive, can come in different sizes for different needs/wants, keeps a long time, pretty colour and very very good for you - but I just don't like broccoli !!

And how are you Judy ?

I'm sure I left a spoon around here somewhere last night. Rose, Ang, Col ......... have one of you taken it by any chance??

08/Dec/09 8:58 PM

sometimes I like a little broccoli but never been fond of asparagus. however if it is dished up to me I sometimes consume it or leave it on the side of the plate but I never make a big deal about it being dished up to me as that would be rude and disrespectful to those that created the meal as a great many people do actually enjoy both those vegetables.

Bet you did Col. It was a wooden one, and I'm sure I'm going to get a whack across the backside from you with it.
