André, I like to let my nose lead the way as I walk around in a nature preserve near where I live. My favorite is the mulefat fragrance. Lovely scent for a weird named plant, supposedly gave the European animals gas, bloated them up thus the name. Then the Matilija poppies in bloom, beautiful and fragrant.

Of course, we do have striped skunks, to whom I do give a wide berth!

About two or three times a week at night we have those black & white visitors. The @$^%#@& little stinkers seem to be attracted by the apples falling off the tree near our house. The first one to detect them yells "Skunk Alert!". We then race to shut all the windows More...
