Maen all. Sorry, sorry, sorry, every now and then I omit putting in a comment, mainly because of my haste to submit it and get on with the next photo. This is one such photo. It is not deliberate, occasionally I screw up. confession - this is one of my photos and I'm happy that it has been More...

There I go again - too busy typing to think about spell checking before I press the 'submit' button. Oh Dear!

What else can I add? The view is spectacular. Thanks to Ian for submitting it. I love these trips we can take without leaving our computer chairs.

Good afternoon to all! I shall see that in person one day!
Garry (Simcoe): Welcome to a fellow Canadian.
June (Epping): Like the legend. Did the three sister's have names that locals call each pillar?
 |  |

Hadn't seen your comment Ian. Nice photo. Maybe you know the answer to the question I posed to June from Epping?
 |  |

Where is Steve today? What a wonderful place but do not think it looks handicap accessable for my husband.
 |  |

I would be pulling my kids off the railings.

Beautiful shot Ian!

Hi everyone, back ....sort of. I have been taking a break. Lived in Katoomba for 12 months back...way back, in '89. Great shot Ian. Rosemary I had the same problem, anywhere near the edge freaked me right out. Lizbaby4, couldn't take the boys there when they were younger, youngest climbed underneath onto supports ...freaked out Mum with daredevil Son.

6:35 beautiful photo

Pat/Ohio I'm pretty sure the place I took the photo from is handicap accessible. The whole area has been remodeled in recent years and only the more adventurous need descend stairs to the lower lookout.
My best wishes go to your husband.

Ian, great picture! I've always dreamed of visiting Australia. Maybe I'll get there someday and visit that beautiful spot.

I can only add you are also looking over the Jamison Valley with Mt Solitary in the background. The walk to Mt Solitary takes you past the Scenic Railway - More...

Kate, many thanks for the webcam site. Now when I have overseas visitors I can check the conditions up there before I leave.

Stella/Saratoga, now you have one more reason to visit.
 |  |
Thanks, June, for telling us about the picture. Makes it so much more interesting.
 |  |

Thanks for the info about Scenic World, Kate. It's been a long time since we visited the Katoomba area. There seems to be much more to do there now. I'll have to start planning for the next holiday to include it I think.
