Wow, that's quite a rugged coastline there! Beautiful blue ocean - - you can almost see the curvature of the earth from this vantage point. Nice!!

Good afternoon to all! Now just how did this place get it's name?

Cape Liptrap is about 1 1/2 hours' drive east from Phillip Island and the penguin parade. The original photo did have curvature on the horizon which was created by my camera. No camping allowed, delz, but there are some stunning camping sites not far away. If you look carefully, you can see a white spot which is a motor boat. This give you some idea of the height above sea-level.

Great photo but it would be freezing with the wind coming from the south today brrrr.

It wouldn't look like that today! The photo was taken in summer with a light northerly breeze. Wouldn't mind one right now.
