Well Done, Good Place to Relax

I hope everyone survives the terrible heat wave! 117 and humid in the heartland. Low clouds and marine layer here until noon or so. Now, do you beleive in global warming?

6:28 Hi to all. A beautiful blue sky day temps in the 30's so way too hot for me!!
 |  |
4.22 Gorgeous! One of these days I want to travel out West.
Andre, I assume you're talking Celcius?
 |  |
4:35 Hot here, too. 97 predicted for today, 101 tomorrow. And heaps of humidity. Have a great day everyone.
 |  |
10:35. Ouch! I know some of the problem is the mouse, but... G'maEn all.

117 in the heartland?! I just had news from home saying that it's hot but been raining some, too, and the green things are doing ok. Sharnel, I hope NE KS isn't part of the heartland to which you refer!
 |  |
its a lot hotter in Lebanon and Israel
 |  |
7.13 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! we also have 93 today and a much cooler 90 tomorrow with 100% humidity but no rain.
 |  |
6:28 Yes, hot and humid and downright uncomfortable. But IP's right, we're not in Lebanon or Israel, so we shouldn't complain. Peace, all.

Maen everyone. Hi Suz from Md - outside of the US I think the rest of the world uses the Celcius scale. (Is there anyone else besides the US that still uses the Fahrenheit scale.) When I hear of the temps in the 100's I often grab my calculator to see how much that is: minus 32, multiply by 9, divide by 5. Is that correct?
 |  |
Mmm, maybe that should be: minus 32 multiply by 5 divide by 9. So if its 117 in the heartland its 43 degrees Celcius. Way too hot!
 |  |
Suz yes I am and its going to get hotter here typical as I am off on my hols on Thursday to even hotter Spain - no complaints though as sangria will be in plentiful supply.

Marilyn formula - F to C is minus 32, divide the answer by 9 then multiply by 5. C to F is multiply by 9, divide by 5 More...

Hello Andre
I like your abbreviated Celcius/Fahrenheit conversion calculation. I'm going to use it in future. Enjoy Spain and the Sangria and keep the choccies in the fridge. My husband always keeps his in the freezer - even in the winter. Crazy!

4:18 Awesome view

good mAen from a very hot Chicago.... 7:03 today

Great view, have a lovely holiday in Spain andre. The weather should break by Wednesday night (I read in the papers) with thunderstorms. Sooo hot! Wish I could get naked....

Nice photo of Banner Peak from near 1000 Island Lake. From the Muir Trail?

4:45- cool pic

Lots of us in England still prefer Fahrenheit - all this Centigrade stuff looks too much like nasty foreign metric system! Though somebody did point out recently that we all tend to use Centigrade when we're trying to impress people with how cold it is!
Did anybody think this was an amazingly easy Medium btw?
 |  |
Marilyn and Rosa I will enjoy it thank you.

Rosa hope you are feeling better soon and yes naked sounds good right now its warm and sticky here! Not a good feeling. Take care x

Best ever time, 5.28. It must be an easy one today. Cold and wet here in Sydney.
 |  |
6.08....it's crazy HOT!!

Climb every mountain...

Good maEn all. My husband took this photo near the outlet of 1000 Island Lake when he took the Boy Scouts up there last summer. The whole east side of the Sierra Nevada is beautiful, and my husband has a way with framing shots. The actual photo (non modified for sudoku) looks much better. And, yes, he has climbed this peak, I believe, in his younger days.

4:38 Gorgeous photo! Martha and husband, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful country. If I were the photographer (which I'm not) I'd be very pleased! Artistic work.

Martha/Saratoga, your husband is a great photographer!

Marilyn - Celcius to Fahrenheit and vice versa.
C to F - x9 and /5 to begin with, then add 32.
F to C - subtract 32 to begin with, then x5 and /9.
Because of the Commutative Property of Multiplication whether you multiply then divide or divide then multiply doesn't matter (as dividing is More...

Looks a truly fabulous place. Makes you wish you were a boy scout, doesn't it.
 |  |
No It is Celsius in Australia too.
 |  |
Thanks for the advice David. I think I've got it down. I still like Andre's quick-fix method. 28=82. Anything more is HOT. (Sorry Christine/Kath - some of us are challenged spelling-wise)

I actually grew up when they were changing from the imperial to metric measurements in South Africa and More...
