I have found that today's tough puzzle is suitable for continuing the tutorial on Y Wing Styles.

A link to yet another new blog page should appear in the upper right hand column, under 'Check Out the Sudoku Blog'.

Hello everyone, looks like a peach tree blossom had to have a second look to see the butterfly.

Bright and sunny here but plenty of snow still on the ground. It will be awhile before we seen any butterflys here.

5:54. Our ornamental pear is in full bloom now. The ornamental plums in the neighborhood are done and the apples are just budding. Our late camellias are in full bloom, too. I'm going to prepare the beds for my annuals today and put them in this week. It's a gorgeous bright sunny spring day! Hard to believe I was skiing last week.

mAen, y'all! I'm with you Stella. The flower looks like a rose of sharon (althea) which blooms here in September when the pretty, yellow sulfur butterflies are about.

I saw some butterflies much like this one in Saskachewan last summer when I was there! Any hints as to where this photo was taken?

8:40...don't usually time myself...

Amelia - I believe you may be right about it being a peach blossum...just lost my little peach tree last year, after Katrina battered it badly the year before, it developed some kind of fungus and keeled over. Quite sad, I enjoyed those peaches.

Good morning everyone. The butterfly landed on a blossom on my nectarine tree last spring (Sept 2006) as I was taking a photo in my garden in Adelaide, South Australia.

I love fruit trees. It's how to get produce from your garden with minimum tillage and work. Vegetables take too much water. Fruit trees look great in bloom, are verdant in summer and let the light in in winter. The best back yard I know produces something from fruit trees every month of the year. Something to aim for.

It's raining in canberra today and I just tried riding in. I gave up. I didn't even consider rain as a possible spoiler but it really was! I put the washing out on the line. That's what did it. If you're looking for a drought breaker forget the rain dancing - put your washing out on the line and plan a big road ride. Planning a few other things that need a dry day will help too. :-)

I would love to have my own fruit tree. There development where I live does not allow them. I do see lots of butterflies down here.

The garden where the pic was taken has a variety of fruit trees - nectarine, peach, apricot, orange and lemon. We shared the stone fruits with the birds and possums this summer - as well as the butterflies, but they don't eat much! The apricots were so delicious picked warm from the tree. yummmm

Butterfly or Cabbage Moth? I sometimes wish I had Elmer Fudd out there with his shot gun to keep those varmints off my cabbages!

It's a butterfly. I've been told that butterflies' wings rest in a vertical position, perpendicular to their bodies; moths' wings form a flat triangular shape over their bodies.
