Kate, sorry to hear of the passing of your Grandmother, and especially as the last of a generation. We lost my last, dear old uncle in January, and, the scary thought is, that I am now one of the 'oldies' in our family.

A running faountain in a garden is a rare sight here, unless it has its own water supply. Kate, I'm so sorry to hear of your loss, even though when they reach this age we expect it to happen it still hurts. Memories last forever.

I went to the Peterhof website and realised that I've been there! I was on a school trip in 1972 so maybe it's not too surprising that I couldn't remember the name of the place, but I do remember the fountains. Thanks for the memories, Ian.

Hi everyone! Kate my deepest sympathy for your loss, my Gran was the same age when she died that was 8yrs ago she was also the last of her generation, and not a day goes by where I don't think of her, even though my two youngest never got to meet her nor my hubby they love her anyway, so I am sure you gran will always be in your thoughts and heart everyday.
