Good Maen! am I first really, really?? Interesting statue. Where is it? I'm not sure quite how to interpret it, except it looks like there are dogs fetching and paddling the witch looking people.

Kind of an unsettling statue!
 |  |
Cool! It's a lot of years since I have been there, but I would guess this is from the Provincial Museum in Victoria, B.C. Canada. ( Could be from a similar thing in Seattle or Vancouver, B.C.) Those are coastal Indian people. Hard to work out all the details, but I see Frogand what looks like Eagle. Thanks to the photographer!

playing sudoku affects your intelligence. The
feeling is great anyway! Merry Christmas to
you all (anticipating that I won't come back
before Xmas here) x!

That looks like one of Bill Reid's Haida sculptures. It may be in the airport in Vancouver, British Columbia.

Mean! Yes when I saw the picture I first thought of Vancouver. I guess it was the style of the sculpture

Hi everyone. Anne you take the cake again! It is one of mine and it was taken in the Museum of Civilization in Ottawa. I thought it was a strong, impressive sculpture and was just waiting to be photographed. The museum itself is very impressive and well worth a visit if you are visiting.
 |  |

Anne, have a safe journey.
 |  |

I have visited Ottawa once and saw the outside of the Museum of Civilization, where this sculpture is located. The building itself is very handsome and dramatic.

18:50 - weird picture!!!
 |  |
Alene and Ian: Thanks for filling us in. I've never seen this kind of work before.
 |  |
Ah! Is the Museum of Civilization what used to be called the National Museum of Canada when I lived in Ottawa for a short period (45 years ago)?
 |  |
Just thought, before read comments, that it was a sculpture of some native people of Noth American continent. And appearantly I was right.
Merry Christmas to every one.
 |  |

Good afternoon to all! Nice to see you promoting tourism to Ottawa Ian! Great picture!
 |  |
mAen all - with all of this company it is hard to have time to play - but made some today. 80 here today and rainy.

Forgot the timer. I must be waterlogged. Will need a canoe to get down the street before too long.
Hoping everyone has a wonderful Christmas and may all your wishes come true in the New Year.

Went shopping today and looked at the back of a $20 bill, and what's there but a similar photo of another of Bill Reid's sculptures.
