We have a 'British fish and Chips' run my chinese people they also serve mexican food.

Now this is my kind of place! Where is it?

Sushi is bait to me. I won't eat uncooked meats of any kind (too many chances for illness/parasites).

I love fish! Salmon, tilapia, catfish ... scallops, shrimp, crab, lobster ... you get the idea.

Actually it is an Aussie photo, taken at South Bank in Melbourne during a 'touristy' ramble with my brother. The food was exquisite.

Had fish & chips on Brighton Beach, England (about 15yrs ago) because I thought the Brits were experts. I was sadly disappointed! Thanks for the photo, Ian.

Kate, I too had the worst fish and chips ever at a seaside town in UK - and the most expensive. Anne was the only customer and she
walked up to the counter but they refused to serve her until she moved over to the right and stood under the sign that said "Queue Here" !

Kate and Ian, we too had a nasty fish and chip experience at an English seaside resort, I think it was Weymouth. The fish was obviously a prepackaged crumbed fish from the supermarket and the whole meal was very ordinary.On the other hand ourlocal fish and chip shop in London served such wonderful shashimi that Japanese Londoners would queue for hours.

4.19 had some very enjoyable fish and chips at such a place in docklands, melbourne the other week.

Rosemary, that Fish and Chippery photo actually was located in Docklands, not South Bank. My mistake. Thank you for correcting me. Melbourne has changed so much since I lived there long ago.

That's amazing that others have had bad fish & chips experiences in UK. Ours was in a town called Wells (11 years ago). They were swimming in fat and absolutely unpalatable. That place wouldn't last 10 minutes around bayside Brisbane where we like to buy our fish and chips and sit watching the sun set (and salute the odd mosquito).

Ian that explains why I didn't recognise it. I haven't been down to the docklands since it was all done up. I must get my little brother to show me round

The best fish and chips I've eaten was from a shop at Kalbarri. They have won national awards for it.

Well worth the 1400 km round trip. It's a shame they don't home deliver.

I believe Anne has had some just as good from Samson. A lazy 3000 km round trip from Perth, make it 4000 km from Albany.
