Today's tough puzzle seems tough enough, to me anyway. For that reason, I have decided to blog it.

The link is/will be available in the typical location:
Upper right column, under Check Out the Sudoku Blog.

Feel free to improve upon my work today. I suspect it is sub-par!

What a lovely fella! These birds are also called Mopoke here in the west 'cause thats the sound they make. Looks like an interesting truck in the background too!

Hordes of the buggers, that's what we need. Them, sea eagles, magpies, whatever. Cane toads are spreading.

Very calm bird - wonder what he is looking at? What is the car in the background? 80 and sunny today.

These birds are nocturnal and spend their days sitting perfectly still looking like a branch. When they are in a tree they are very hard to spot, but when they choose to roost on a building they look funny!!

I spy a crinkle in the fender of the car!

I wonder how much similarity there is between this interesting fellow and our goatsuckers (nightjar) ie. whipporwills, chuck-will's-widdow?

Despite its weird name this bird looks so cute!
Or it is me, I always fascinated by nature when I can see it from from close distance even if it is just a sparrow sitting on my window.

Maen, y'all! Jeb, our whipporwills and these frogmouths are both in the nightjar family, but these don't seem as elusive as ours.

10:14; perhaps I should perch quietly with the bird during the day, my times are much likely to be better at night!

I remember the last time a photo of these critters was posted I thought I needed to have my eyes tested. Nice to see one up close.

Anne, it is not one of my photos. They are lovely, gentle creatures and by far my favourite bird. They are not owls and not Mopokes, they are members of the nightjar family. There are lots of references to them on Google..
Their call can be heard More...

Good afternoon to all! Interesting location for the owl, and I'm surprised it wasn't startled away by the photographer. Good picture!

mAen! 3:15. Nice shot and an interesting bird. Now why did I think that they looked like owls in the other shot. Maybe because that shot was a facial. Thanks! The Australian fauna is so different from ours - nice to get some exposure here!
