There is one plant in the world which has better osmosis to filter salt on their roots to survive salty water. Coconuts give sweet water under salty environment. I hope that one day we can do sea-water desalination by????

mAen all - 82 here today - I have 6 coconut palms in my back yard - wonderful sounds on a windy day. They are loaded with coconuts this year.

I agree a beautiful place to be, as much as I like living here I miss the beaches and swimming in the ocean.

Bonaire - THE place to scuba dive!!!!

Would love to be on that beach right now. Had a foot of snow the day before yesterday and right after all the shoveling was done it started to rain (glad I got it all done - would have been too heavy otherwise). The rain caused Hwy 1 east and west to be closed for 24 hrs due to avalanche hazards - opened again yesterday at 4pm - travellers all happy to be on the road again.
