Just HAD to post this....... (from an email I received)

An eye witness account from New York City, on a cold day in December, some years ago: A little boy, about 10-years-old, was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with More...

Well regardless of whether it's true or not, it is inspiring. We may not go to that length but hopefully somewhere there abouts we will. And when child does so, hopefully we will say encouraging words that will help the children continue the good deed and not scold the child for wasting his/her time or money.

a parting shot...

WHEN YOU THOUGHT I WASN'T LOOKING

A message every adult should read because children are watching you and doing as you do, not as you say.

When you thought I wasn't looking -
I saw you hang my first painting on the refrigerator, and I immediately wanted More...

Hello everyone,Anne /Albany was the only one with the correct answer. Congratulations.
Answer: In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter,

I must remember to collect some wombat poo for you Vici (the real stuff). My daughter had 6 wombats wandering around her place the other evening, including a very young one. Then one morning she was woken up by her dogs as a wombat had go into their yard and could not get out. At 5.30am my daughter was not impressed!!

Had lunch with a group of friends today - yum cha. It was great. I love going out with this group, they are all Asian, mostly Malaysian, one from Singapore. Through them I am being introduced to some fantastic Asian restaurants in Canberra. I qualify as Asian by virtue of 10% of my life being spent living in Asia!

You have to visit a public toilet, you usually find a line of women, so you smile politely and take your place. Once it's your turn, you check for feet under the cubicle doors. Every cubicle is occupied.
Finally, a door opens and you dash in, nearly knocking down the woman leaving the cubicle. More...

You're exhausted. You try to wipe with a sweet wrapper you found in your pocket and then slink out inconspicuously to the sinks.
You can't figure out how to operate the taps with the automatic sensors, so you wipe your hands with spit and a dry paper towel and walk past the line of women still More...

Anne that made me laugh out loud. So so true. I'm sure the reason women suffer from 'water works' problems is we hesitate to go through this rigmarole and hold on too long.
Our local supermarket only has toilets in their car-park and they are all of the 'balance over the long drop' variety. I am More...

Mo, I remember coming across those type of toilets when in France when I was there and I couldn't believe them. Especially in this day and age.
In Peru the toilets never had seats on them and you weren't allowed to put the paper in the toilet but in a bin next to it. We soon got used to them.

Portugal has bins too, or at least they did the last time I was there. All this talk of toilets. We now have three but the plumber has turned the water off so can't use any of them!
