hi all...

good times :)

4:40 today, a Saturday...imagine that..

Back home again. Brought the four year old with us to spend a couple days at Gramma & Grampa's. He was so anxious for his turn to be alone with us he packed his own suitcase yesterday! He played quietly with our stash of old toys while we watched the Michigan game. Go Blue! Then we went out for More...

Judy, Mamacita2, & Sarah Beth - thanks for your comments to Eden! Her team won their softball game 6-3 so she was very happy. Very funny to watch a bunch of 10 year old girls play ball. Many many wild pitches, walks, fielding errors, stolen bases on the wild pitches, etc. Do girls in Australia play softball? How about France & England?

Good onya, Kathy. You and your hubbie appear to be the perfect grandparents, and the little one is certainly a sweet young grandson.

Go Blue indeed!... until next weekend, of course when they meet the Buckeyes. I'm sure you understand my affinity for OSU.
 |  |
Hi bert - you've sure got the Aussie lingo down! Rob & I do strive to be good grandparents although we're far from perfect. I need to try to resize some photos of our seven precious grandchildren to submit to the Parents Page.

I'm so excited (& truthfully a little worried)about the game More...

Well all of our teams, Penn State, Michigan and Ohio went through their warm up games for next week! The big games are coming... Ohio and Michigan! Wow!!! May the better team that day win, and it could be either one!...Go Penn State!!! Do your thing against Michigan State!!! Kathy, Judy and Bert, I'm sure you all understand my choice!
 |  |
Happy Anniversary to Angie and Bruce
 |  |
Kathy, I'd love to see your grands on the site. And, honestly, I hope the best team wins on the 18th. You and your daughter appear to be far more loyal Michigan fans than I of Ohio State. I have my original OSU bootie shorts from freshman year, but that's about it. Truthfully, I will be just as excited for you if the Wolverines celebrate a victory next weekend! to all.
 |  |
I hear you, Mamacita, and yes, honey... I do understand. Go Penn State!
 |  |
Mamacita, I have friends traveling up to Philly tomorrow for the Eagles/Redskins game. I can't feign a neutral stance on that match. I'm for the Skins (as sorry as they are this year). I am still hoping to get us seating in the skybox at Fedex Field for the Eagles/Redskins game on December 10, so please stand by for more info.

Catching up is hard to do!! Just read the Archives from yesterday. Sounded like the gang in Perth had a great time. They certainly beat the number of those who attended the very first SA meeting here in FL (a mere 3). Let's go for a new record in 2007. Col's already planning the Melbourne More...

Ed, did you hear about the passing of Gerald Levert? 40 years old. Cleveland Ohio homeboy. Gone too soon. Stunning.
 |  |
Kathy, you blew my first CP attempt, girl. But, yes. I'd certainly be interested in a Miami meeting in February. Plan it, and I will show up.
 |  |
Now must go have a look at Rosemary's photos & Glenn's daughters 2006 chalk art.
 |  |
Sorry bert! Try again? I'll stay away for awhile!
 |  |
bert, Last night on the way home I was listening to WMNF 88.5 FM, public radio. (Great station) They had a tribute to Gerald Levert, son of? I know you know. The host was very sad over the all to soon death of Gerald Levert. Had a great cover of a Sam Cooke song Mary J. Blige and Gerald Levert. More...

Countdown is on to the biggest game of the year. If Rutgers wins out should they play the winner of the Ohio State, Michigan game for the national championship? If Ohio State wins by one point should they play Michigan for the national championship?

ROSEMARY: Thank you for sharing so much with us! I was amazed as I wound my way through your photos ... the breath-taking New Zealand scenery ... the faces that match the names of so many awesome sodukuites. I could talk about each picture, but I'll just post a few quick comments: Did you go on More...

I reckon if I ever won lotto I'd become an international hobo.
Then I could have;
Wine with Judy in San Diego
Share my Vegemite with Keith in California
Enjoy a Guiness with Greg in Canada
Eat chocolates with Andre in England
Have a rum with Ed in Florida
Drink VB with Baz in Normanton
and all the rest of you will have to decide what we will have when I visit.

lovely piccies, rosemary. The NZ ones brought back lots of memories, and it was great to put faces to all the names
 |  |
Hugh - how about a margarita in Valrico with me? I live less than 10 miles from Ed! I was wowed by how many times you & Ian from Sydney moved due to your careers in the military! My sympathies to your wives. I thought I had it tough moving 17 times with my Navy hubby, but your gals far surpassed my number. Could I ask how long you two have been married?
 |  |
VB with Baz in Normanton, Qld Hugh???
 |  |
Rosemary - I enjoyed your pictures, too! NZ surely is a beautiful place. Glad you added the photos of the Sudoku gang, too. Nice to have a face to connect to so many of the names I now know so well.
Glenn - Found the photo of the tiger's face, but not the chalk version Leah was doing. Maybe More...

Before you leave the country, Hugh, and depending on the season, how about some mangoes, watermelon, Coral Trout, Barramundi, mud crabs and prawns fresh from the plant/sea?
 |  |
The wine is breathing and waiting in San Diego, HUGH ... and so am I ... heh, heh!! :)
 |  |
Now almost midnight in FL. The little guy will probably be up by 6 AM so I'd better get to bed. All!
 |  |
Kathy/ Valrico, my wife and I have been married 38 years. and she was happy with the gipsy life we led. We are settled now, but at the time life was one big adventure.

I believe that the Danish term 'beskidt' translates to grungy as in grunge rock.

 |  |
OH now I have to go and look at the photos - OH ROSE - what did you put on there ?????
 |  |
Col, I will be in my home town (Melbourne) during the first week in December for a 50th Anniversary of our graduation (I don't feel that old). Unfortunately we have to return to Sydney on 11th and will miss your gathering. Have fun, I will be thinking of you and your friends.

 |  |
Hugh, We could have a cold Coors, or down a brew from one of our many microbreweries. We could wash down some Rocky Mountain Oysters! Yum!
 |  |
Rocky Mountain Oysters - delicious when sliced thin, breaded, and fried!
 |  |
Ian, although I'm not from Melbourne - I'm sure there are some Melbournites that would be pleased to meet and have a quiet ale with you - watch this space

OR.........are you sure you couldn't put your departure off until the next weekend ??????
