AMBER: Hi

JIM: Is that where the natural blonde merkin got to?
 |  |
OK... shelly just called herself a newbie, I'm a newbie... so a question for the old-timers: do all of us newbies look alike? However do you tell us all apart?
 |  |
3.11

hey all
 |  |
newbies are distinguishable by their naievity and a subtle wetness behind the ears. You have much to learn newbie-wan-kenobe. May the farce be with you!!
 |  |
Gee...It's been so long since I've been a 'newbie' at anything that I didn't think anyone would notice! I believe that subtle wetness is simply sweat from trying to keep up with you old-timers!
 |  |
Now...would someone please tell me how (or if) my time should be posted when I finish the puzzle!!! I'm dying to know how I stack up against all you pros out there!
 |  |
ahh the gentle poet Shelly. No doubt you shall keep up with us we are old and slow. The wit is the last vestige of former talents.
 |  |
Mo--Big HELLO

KRP is correct, I would like to add that newbies are also known to ask such things as 'where is the timer?' 'What does QRP/KRP stand for?' 'do you know you spelled chocolate wrong?'
 |  |
You need to start the timer before commencing the puzzle Shelly and manually type in your time if you wish to display it in your comments. Bingo!
 |  |
What a delightful puzzle! The baby seemed like a bit of a risk, but it really was worth it in the end, I suppose.
 |  |
Yes Amber it does become tiresome but one must have patience. You never know which newbie could go on to satirical greatness. Ho ho hocolate. Tis the season to be wally after all.
 |  |
Ummm... *Did* you know you spelled chocolate wrong??? :)
 |  |
2.51 - Even surprised myself.
 |  |
3:16!! Yeah for me! .... I quit timing for a couple weeks because my times were so depressing (6-8 minutes generally). Quit worrying about the clock, just have fun playing!
 |  |
Yeah...and now that you mention it Amber...what DOES KRP/QRP stand for and WHY do you spell chocolate wrong? I apologize for being tiresome but one must never stop learning about the intricacies of life (such as it is!)
 |  |
1:55 my best time ever! Whoo hoo Hreak out the Hocolate!!
 |  |
Ahhh, newbie, thank you...My high school creative writing teacher told me once that I could never become a writer since I had no concept of tenses. I looked at him blankly.
Shelly--King Red Pen and Queen Red Pen (newbie just did to me what they are famous for--fixes our mistakes)...hocolate came on a virtual trip that involved a lot of wine (Ted paid of course)
 |  |
Ouch! Hope the dr can give her something for the pain. I know how bad we mums feel when our little ones (regardless of age) feel bad and we don't have the magic wand to make it go away. I'll say a little prayer for her - and you.
As far as the # of postings - we love to chat with you, and I More...
 |  |
P.S. I personally love newbies...they add to our already fun and crazy family. Tiresome? Never...we have to keep explaining things (like there are harder puzzles, follow the links on the right side of the screen) to keep our minds sharp.
All newbies should be required to ask Jim about his duck joke.
 |  |
please please not the duck!!!!
 |  |
Hoo boy. Mea culpa. I wasn't trying to correct your tense usage (I am far too young and inexperienced to presume such a thing [yet]); I was using the asterisked emphasis in what I now see was clearly a mis-directed attempt at irony, trying to play to the hilt the role of naive newbie while More...
 |  |
Ahhhh, newbie--new thing to learn...we are all just silly here, alas, my fault for not seeing your post as 'silly' yet...I will get it though the more you post (no worries). And I assure you, irony is never mis-directed. Only mis-understood, especially when typing--it doesn't come across easily...can I ask what you think is too young?
 |  |
Long live the duck!!
 |  |
Oh please say 50!
 |  |
Ahhh, newbie, unless you being young is in reference to being a 'newbie' in which case I need more caffine. And to do some work!! Geeze...will be back later
 |  |
4:17. What made me so slow? Who's baby is that? Jim, are you going to give us your final answer?
 |  |
the only thing I'm too youg for is a presidential birthday card.
 |  |
nal--hee hee (yes, I actually did laugh out loud to that post)

Hi all!
 |  |
Correction - it must have been the merkin I saw! A CLOSE SECOND???? No wonder I am now having to resort to subterfuge. You do of course realise that had I not been so verbose, many of them thar postings would really be considered as ONE? It's just that one itty bitty paragraph can't possibly More...
 |  |
...of pocket money (autographs considered for a fee). Thank you fans!!! LOL
 |  |
3:21...Getting better. But still can't move and click that mouse fast enough. I off to do a hard copy sudoku. Of course, I won't have a cute picture if I successfully complete it, but then I won't go stir crazy clicking and dragging.

Love this site!
 |  |
well, I'm off to take my Geritol and hot hocolate and rub my aching joints with Bengay before going to bed. And newbies - I'm the one that's always about 10 postings behind time so that my comments NEVER make any sense - But Do I Have A Good Time Trying! lol
 |  |

 |  |
Well, yes, I'm just a sudoku-land babe. And that's probably a country-western song waiting to be written, but I've got to go. Goodnight!
 |  |
Feeling a might bit peevish and red penny myself. mg, please reread the comments, this time with comprehension. I gave the answer pages ago.
MSNChrissy: Merkin, shmerkin. I have ALL my own hair thank you very much. Strawberry blonde, past-my-strong-shoulders length hair.
I cannot find the More...
 |  |
I ache all over today. Spent w/e swimming to find Dennis but they must have changed co-ordinates since Cathy & co got there. Hang on girls: re-inforcements are on their way. Need Ted to send a helicopter out.
 |  |
Any chance the pages can be reversed so the latest page of comments is the one that comes up first?
 |  |
