I have a question. We are planning a trip to Hawaii in January or February. Does anyone have any "must see" suggestions (aside from the obvious tourist destinations). Maybe something on a different island? Some input would be good before I start reading the travel books.

Happy Tuesday!

Count me with the chickens who will be happily waiting on terra firma for the intrepid ones to land with camera at hand to take the "Kodak" moments!

Greg, I love the cruise ship / nursing home idea! Our daughter is in California, our son is in Boston. We are in discussions of where will we end up when we leave Florida? Let's just go cruisin'!

I do like the concept of the good ship 'Lady Sudoku' (or 'Lord Sudoku' - whatever - the sex of the ship does not matter. By the way how do you distinguish between a female ship and a male ship?
Lets all plan an itinerary for our (perhaps albeit imaginary) cruise.

You folks keep raising various themes,
Exploring different (and dangerous) schemes,
And as for me, I see this as all a dream,
The words you utter just don't seem,
To have that true belief.

Skydiving you say is now your thing,
Well go down nude, and go in Spring,
Land in a More...

Your epic poem honors us, CG! That "naked butts" thing has kind of squashed my dreams, though ... maybe I'll remove the skydiving from my list and select an alternative activity!

Hawaii, Kathy, hmmmmmmmmm. I didn't like it, sorry, but then I was there when I was(financially)rather poor, which probably made a big difference to how you see the place and certainly to how you are treated. It seemed to me at the time that you had to be Japanese and rich to get anything resembling More...

Kathy, get going on the Da Vinci Code - it is a great read, and you won't put it down! My son gave me the illustrated version that had pictures of all the artworks mentioned - well worth the extra dollars (or go looking for it in your library) as you can check them out in the context of the story.

Greg, I love the way you think! Now we need a name for the good cruise ship Sudoku! Hopefully Gath will still supply us with Sudokus to keep our minds busy. I wonder if we will still chat on line....? You forgot the wine in your expense list - that may put a huge hole in the budget!!!!

Acker Bilk's song may be a little closer to home, Fiona...

"Originally named "Jenny" (after his daughter) on his LP Sentimental Journey, the song's name was changed when Bilk played it as the theme song for a new children's TV show, Stranger On The Shore. The show, which More...

I like that idea, Mariane. I'll look at the library for the illustrated version. I have the paperback, but would love the pictures of the artworks. I'm thinking a winter read in front of the fireplace, a hot drink, all by myself.......
