Hugh - Thinking of your and your family, waiting on results is so difficult. Here's hoping your little granddaughter will be back home soon and back to normal.
Ed - nice to see you back.
Beehive - Although I guess you probably broke the rules, I miss your posts. You and Baz are good entertainment!

Hey y'all! Hugh - I will say a little prayer for your grand-daughter and your family!!!!

Baz - Leaving? But you add spice to the postings...most of the time! What would any normal conversation be without a 'Devil's Advocate'?

How boring would life be if we all agreed on More...

Red Buttons passed away today. Red, thanks for the laughs. Rest in peace!

For Red:

A salesman is lost in a rural area and stops at a farm to get directions. As he is talking to the farmer he notices a pig with a wooden leg. 'How did the pig get a wooden leg?', he asks the farmer.

'Well', says the farmer, 'that is a very special pig. One night not too More...

Another for Red:

A boy lives out on a farm with his mother and father. Father is out working the fields all day while mom cooks and cleans.

One day, mom becomes sick, and asks the kid to milk the cows and collect the eggs from the chickens. The boy does it for the first day. The More...

I don't think anyone (or most people anyway) have a problem with others expressing their opinions, whether we agree with them or not. Having someone play devils advocate & stir things up a bit can be fun. It's when the comment turn unpleasent or even nasty that I have a problem (I wont speak for More...

A pirate walks into a bar, and he has a steering wheel hanging from his crotch.

The bartender notices this and says,'Hey you've got a steering wheel hanging from your crotch.'

The pirate responds by saying,'Arrrrhhhh it's driving me nuts!'

Good Maen everyone!! First time on for a couple of weeks and looks like I will need to spend all weekend reading the Archives!!!
Hugh, thoughts and prayers for your granddaughter and you at this time. As Nurn said, it is wonderful to feel that there are people 'out there' who care. More...

vlc/Melbourne - Exactly what I was trying to say...although you articulated it much better than I did!!!!

Just another example of how hard it can be to put into print exactly what you want to say, with the appropriate tone and all that! Thanks for bailing me out vlc!! :o)

To Hugh
Along with everyone else on this site, my thoughts are with you and your family. It makes it a long day when you are waiting for this sort of news, but we are nearly half way through it.
It doesn't seem Beehive & Baz are really being missed. I just went out of the site by mistake & couldn't get back in because it was too busy.
Shouldn't that be Stottish Scraweberries?

Nal, love your pics!!

Kathy, lovely to see you back!!

Maen - not nude, too cold, but still in my PJs (again). Hugh, guess you are sleeping after night shift - where do you work? Glad to hear your grand-daughter is improving, and have my fingers crossed about her new problem. Good to see a post from Ed, hope the cloud is slowly lifting.

Your welcome Lisa. I always have lots of opinions & actually find them easier to express in writing so this site gives me a good opportunity to 'mouth off'!
 |  |
Angry Ant - are you a nurse too? Watching others on the site plan get-togethers makes me think we could have a Canberra gathering. I'd love to go to an international one, but there'll be the usual problems about distance, finances etc. Would prefer to go to Hawaii (and revisit old friends and old haunts as I lived there for three years a while back).

Mickey, the midwife in me says that if all else fails (Andre's vindaloo and Kim's tractor) you'll be induced, so put me down for July 25th, 2pm, 3.8kg.

Oh-oh, multiple postings! Just wanted to say welcome to the new folks.

Bluey

Have a wongerful night bluey.

Welcome back Ed!

Hugh
I understand the hard times you are going through. I lost my 31yr old niece to the same in Fiji. She wasn't diagnosed in time and had mood swings for two years. It wasn't until she collapsed that they worked out what was what.
Our families heartfelt prayers go out to you, and remember that the doctors here are world class.

Ed - glad to see you back luvvie!

I have a technique when I do sudoku's. Instead of just going to a square or a row and working on that I work on a number.Like i need 3 7's and 6 4's 2 finish a sudoku. I click on the 4 and go to each square and see if it needs a 4. I do the same with the 7. I have found that i finish sudoku's faster this way. You might like to try it.

Finally did the puzzle...3:23. 3H today here in Northern Ontario! Forecasting more of the same for the next five days. YIKES!

All you folks, as one travels further south, must be going crazy with the heat! I grew up (OK...maybe 'grow up' is a strong term LOL) in Southern Ontario so I More...

If you thought that was a bit much vic you obviously weren't around at Easter time when beehive told some woman with terminal breast cancer to-go die on another site.It was totally uncalled for and he has boasted since that nobody reported it as abusive.

Lisa from Nth Ontario
Try going for a swim or how about some retail therapy in a nice cool airconditioned shopping center.
If you still feel hot - try sitting with your feet in cold water or run the water over your wrists. It may not help the headache but you will feel cooler. Good Luck.

4:17 - that's beter for me. Pretty warm here.
