everyone!

Actually, my DIL's maiden name is Mayo. I'm not sure if the family originally came from County Mayo. I don't think they've ever done any ancestry research. It would be interesting to find out.

I've been to Bunratty Castle. We had a fun medieval banquet there. The Park is more or less an outdoor museum. Very neat place.

Kathy, your background is similar to my hubby's! But the other way around. His dad is German and I think English and his mom is Irish and Mexican. He's the American mutt!

A CP and I'm out of here! Have the boys and their family coming over to celebrate their father's birthday! Here's a mix, we're going to an authentic Japanese restaurant and we have our own tatami room, hubby's hard of hearing so this will help immensely and the grandbaby will get to crawl around while we eat!

Good morning everyone. I think I'm pure Oz now, but have ancestors from County Cork (Ireland), England, America and Jamaica. The American/ Jamaican was transported from England, to Norfolk Island and then resettled in Tasmania in 1825ish. He was a highwayman, sentenced to death and then commuted to life in the colonies.

Sacky he probably had a very bad time in Tasmania - but I'm glad he survived so that we got to meet you!!!
All my ancestors are Irish from various parts of Ireland, & they arrived here at different times in the 1800s. One has his statue outside the Melbourne Library, Victoria.
