Kim, Ricky Nelson's comeback attempt at Madison Square Garden included a change of style from his prior work--more ballads, less rock. The crowd that night was more taken with the higher tempo energy.

André, somehow, I missed your address, but I do know that they have a website you can order from, and part of their advertising claims the Queen orders from them. I'm sure you could too.

Kat, it is very tempting to visit and explore that area. From the one time I drove through there, I remember it being beautiful. And what a bonus it would be to drop by Judy's cabin.
 |  |
Omigosh, KAT FROM CAL, then you must know my neighbor, whom my husband and I are helping at this very minute! To keep down the dust, we are spreading wood chips on the entrance road of the cabin of Genny Smith, the matriarch of Mammoth Lakes! She has written or edited all of the definitive books More...

JAMIE: Seasons in Dallas? Well, sorta, kinda: Hot as Hades and Not-as-hot. This past December we had an 18-degree day which served to kill off my oleander and one of my crepe myrtles. Spring and fall are each a day or two long! I've got to get out of this state!
 |  |
Judy - I've met Genny Smith a few times, but I don't know her. I have her first book, which has been well used by me and my students. Please pass along 'Hi' and 'Thanks' from a fan. It's great that Valentine is conducting more classes - have fun - the anthro is fascinating!
Keith - There are many hidden gems in them thar hills! You have it to look forward to.
 |  |
Janci from Dallas, I have two oleanders in my conservatory, too cold for it outside most of the year, though right now it's so hot it would love it in the garden. I think we're going to reach 100F by mid-week.

JAN H: NO ONE deserves to POST more than you, it seems!!

Was really bored at work today and thought I'd read some of the comments from week of the 4th when I was on vacation. Friday the 7th, a song fest broke out and you were coming up with some goldie oldies. Made me think of song that I haven't heard in years...maybe you know who sang it....Young Hearts Run Free...I think it was black female.

Mickey
good luck hope it all goes well ..and soon for you. he is being a stubborn little devil!
 |  |
Mickey, 25 years ago my doctor recommended castor oil (of all things!) to get things moving. I wound up not needing it, but you might want to google 'castor oil labor' as it appears to be effective for over half those who try it. Good luck!
 |  |
André - I went back & found my notes on how to make the é!!! I'm just sure that we're going to live longer because we eat dark chocolate. And if we don't, then at least we'll die happy! Those Irish Coffee Truffles sound great!

Keith - I'm a chocoholic, too. Do you remember what day you More...

ROSEMARY: Have a great trip, and I hope that it is a relaxing time for you! One less cereal poster ... oh, (grape) nuts!!
 |  |
MICKEY - Not much longer to wait - tomorrow 's the day!! See that two others have joined me in guessing July 19. And yes, JAN offered some good advice about the castor oil. My daughter's dr. told her it was okay to take, & she went into labor just hours later.

CP - what do you think?
 |  |
ROSEMARY - Where are you traveling to? Have fun & stay safe.
JAN H. - so if you graduated from Post in Long Island & now live in No. Cal., that makes you a Coast to Coast Poster!
SCOTT FROM OHIO- thanks for the 'Ora et Labora' explanation. I've been wondering about that one, too!
 |  |
Have some friends who swear by it. Research wise, I'd have to look it up - think my lecturers said the jury was out on it. Sleep first, look it up later!
 |  |
Sad new today in the detective world. Mickey Spillane passed at age 88. I'm sure the cause of his death will forever remain a mystery!

Me thinks WARREN has become the obituary writer for the Sudoku Times ! Think LIFE, good man!
 |  |
My last night in the highlands... Tomorrow I head south for Edinburgh - then London, Singapore.
I spent my last day up here attacking the whins- gorse and nettles that grow across the common and managed to clear a path along the fence. They took their revenge and I'm covered in scratches. Och weeel!!!

MICKEY!!! In to that castor oil girl!!
 |  |
Mickey,
Another labor inducer that helped with my first born is Blue Cohosh. Drink about 3 cups of it as a tea..I had some one evening and woke up in labor in the morning. Coincidence? Maybe..but who knows?
 |  |
3:15 - struggling to get under 3 minutes... poo! I think castor oil would make me vomit!
Mickey, I took Rasberry Leaf Tablets in the last few weeks of my pregnancy to slowly assist in brining on labour. Apparently Rasberry Leaf Tea works faster - doesn't taste all that nice, but does the trick! Perhaps add some honey!
 |  |
3.06. About normal, always around the 3 minute mark. Its raining, its cold and I'v got the flu. So all those of you who feel well and have nice weather. Have a great day!
 |  |
Rosemary - safe travelling! have a great time.

Mickey - I believe that skipping???? has been tried in the past.. with a skipping rope.

Long walks ( with mobile phone in pocket) are another idea.

... mountain climbing??? ....

jogging?

triple jump????

thinking of you...
 |  |
3:33 maEn all! Hot here. My pool was up to 84F today. It didn't cool me off much!
 |  |
Mickey, Good luck with having that baby soon! I think Fi has the right idea. A long walk may help.
 |  |
Any comment on the posts, old friend?
 |  |
Mickey, The evening before my youngest was born I worked pulling weeds in my garden.I fell asleep exhausted and woke up in full blown labor a few hours later. Do you have a garden??LOL
