Shiela, hubby and I really enjoyed the blonde joke. Nothing personal toward blondes, it can be an Aggie joke or whatever--still funny. In fact that one might be adapted as an Aggie joke.

We stopped by the farm produce stand this morning and got enough cucumbers to make some bread and butter pickles.
Guess what I will be doing today?!? Haven't made any kind bread and butter pickles in a long,long time. Hope they will be good.

Phantom, just to clarify--I grew up in the city mostly before TV with only one sibling. The cultural deprivation was in the 70's and 80's while raising my own 5 kids way out in the boonies. Some of them commented on it as adults and were somewhat surprised that I felt the same cultural challenge about those times as they did. But why wouldn't I?

Off to MIL's to see that she gets to bed without incident. She's still a bit wobbly and says she's dizzy when she gets up or down too quickly.

Hazel,I know what you mean as I had the same problem with my parents when I was living in Robinvale,I spent 4 months away from home and that is why they moved into the nursing homenow my Mum says she is glad they had even though Dad has passed on.
