Rayray, I would suggest the situation in Haiti is beyond our comprehension... but not our interest. I teach a elementary children's Bible Club and the children write prayer requests. Yesterday many wrote their prayer request.. "for people in Haiti". Usually the children do not concern More...

Well, after a ten day stay in the hospital I am out and home now. I will be recuperating for about a month or more before returning to work. Robyn is back in classes at UF and Leah is back in classes at LSU. We are empty nesters once again and it is nice and peaceful here.

Morning. Been out and had my mammies grammed - oh, joy! Necessary evil, is how I think of it.
Home for a cuppa and short break, then off to work for the afternoon/evening.

Hello everyone, this picture reminds me of my youngest grdaughter when she was a toddler just loved feathers of any kind so one year while playing golf if I seen a feather I would pick it up, well that year when she opened her Xmas present out floated all the feathers that I had packed around her gift, she loved the feathers more than the gift.

Best wishes for your recuperation, Glenn.

Rayray, a lot of us expressed our sadness and thoughts both on Haiti and Aceh on the days they happened or were reported. Our thoughts are still with those suffering, just didn't realise the need to report those thoughts in public more than once.

I hope that was the "worst" of the storm systems coming through like the meteorologists keep saying it was! Now another system is due to pass through!

Hi Shosho, my boss and family are heading your way today if he can get thru the Sierra Mountains. The snow was half way up his car doors yesterday.

The boss walked into the office one morning not knowing his zipper was down and his fly area wide open. His assistant walked up to him and said, 'This morning when you left your house, did you close your garage door?' The boss told her he knew he'd closed the garage door, and walked into his office More...

Just had to do the puzzle to see those fine feathers. I've had to go home a couple of times when I've found one of the cats asleep on the back seat when I got to work.

Welcome back Glenn - best wishes for a smooth recovery.
My feather story - pointless, I suppose but still brings a smile to me after more than 30 years. A little girl I knew was asked why she wouldn't kiss her Grandfather (who hadn't shaved for 3-4 days) - 'Not kissing Poppa, he's got fevvas!'

My boss's dog went missing today. His wife couldn't find it after hours of searching. He was horrified thinking it had drowned in their pond. Wife has the builder they are employing (at $35/hr) dredging the pond. Dog finally turned up asleep in the builders station wagon. It had climbed into More...

Glenn, that's a long stay in hospital. I bet you are glad to be home. Enjoy your recuperation - a nice long time to be away from the daily grind!
Shosho, we used to tell the time by the rain - it must be time to meet the bus, it's raining!

No Broni - it wasn't me! Long story but this girl, now in her 30's was like a daughter to me for many years. (Still is very special to me.)
Hey Suzy, my daughter has a friend who has just turned 37 and has 2 grandchildren aged 4 and 1. She was 18 when she had her daughter who, in turn, was 15 (yes you read correctly) when she had her first child.

I had Little Plum when I was 39. I've regularly gotten the "grandmother" comments about her. It bothered my oldest daughter most who is 12 years older. About the time she was driving and out and about looking adult with her little sister, people thought she was the mother.
