Speaking of blowing Fiona out of the water....

Ariel is on vacation traveling on a cruise ship from south of the equator to the north.
She has a nice second class cabin which has a bedroom with one twin bed and a small dresser with a mirror, a bathroom, a small closet with 5 plastic More...

Jerry, they're cute! But they couldn't match the efficacy of my to demand chow! Mine is very good sneaking under my desk and finding my ankles, nipping them so I have to get up!

That is a cool clock, but I'm pretty sure it's tied into your computer clock - I thought for a second, How does it know what time zone I am in? Then I watched it for a whole minute, while keeping an eye on my little time in the corner, and yep, they changed at the same time! Another cool clock is to go to www.time.gov - has a picture of the earth with part in light, part in shadow...

Linda: You're exactly right. I just reset my clock to Tuesday, 6 pm. That's what that site showed when I went back to it.

I wonder what they're up to? Time to run an anti-virus/spyware program, maybe.

Not a goofy answer at all, Shosho. Not correct (or at least the answer I have. Okay, Ian?), but true in it's own way.

And I was so proud that my computer clock was "exactly" right.

The messenger has been shot again.
It has been pointed out to me that the answer I have for today's puzzle is incorrect. The idea of filling a sink with water and expecting it to change direction while draining because you cross the equator has been debunked. All wrong. Untrue. More...

Weeellll, Thanksgiving Day is fast approaching! I'm expecting a little more than usual 20, because little bro is bringing a date plus his two daughters, cousin's little girl is bringing hubby and an adorable toddler, baby bro bringing entire family! I think my older son is back from Italy so maybe he'll show up for a bit. Sigh younger son is in the US but on the opposite shores still.

Was going to try the clock - but now Ian's post has me rethinking......
22/Nov/09 8:24 AM
 |  |

Good morning all.
OMG - I thought that clock was cool when I posted it and, it seems obvious in the light of day, that it just picks up the computer clock but if it's something sinister and causes problems to my friends on site, I am so sorry.
Ian's right - run your anti-virus software.
Boy, do I feel like an idiot now!

To make up for it - I post a joke -

Bob Hill and his new wife Betty were vacationing
in Europe... as it happens, near Transylvania. They were driving in a rental car along a rather deserted highway. It was late and raining
very hard. Bob could barely see the road in front of the More...

CynB and everybody:

No need to panic. That site has 30,000 entries on Google, and no problems apparent. Tiscali is some kind of European telecommunications company.

Thanks for the research, Ian. Should have done it myself. But at least I feel better that I haven't infected everyone's computer.
Rolanda and Lizzy both speak Dutch but Rolanda is away for the weekend and Lizzy is recuperating so neither would be around today.
