Good Friday Maen, all!
Favorite seasons:
Spring when the flowers are starting to bloom (I look forward to my narcissus, daffodils and tulips coming up) and strawberry season!

Fall when the air is getting brisk and cool with Christmas to look forward to

Judy from San Diego: We'll be about 45 miles north of Tampa where pine trees grow as native and it actually freezes in winter--I've been there in winter and in summer on vacations but don't remember insects nor crocs as a problem (fortunately). Of course, I don't know what happens when I come back More...

Scott! Scott! Scott! classic. Thanks for the laugh.

Favourite Season:
For we Canuks, at least me, Spring! The snow melts away, everything starts to turn green and clean again, the birds come back and the Winter clothes go in the closet! Life is great in the Springtime!!
 |  |
Love the transitions between seasons...Autumn: anticipation of the chill in the air, football, Thanksgiving. Spring: the plants returning to life, planting annuals to bring color to my deck and warming up enough for boating!
 |  |
Aileen...me too on the Narcissus/Daffodils! Reminds me we need to fertilize soon! (never had much luck with Tulips in my yard)

CHALKBOARD: Weird things happening in New England! Yes, North Florida is different ... we spent a year in Pensacola and almost froze to death! Best wishes on your move.

Hi everyone! My favorite time of year would be springtime, I feel a rebirth with the warming days, flowers coming to life, its great to be alive. Fall is also great with the beautiful trees, crisp air and watching football in front of the fireplace with my hubby.

Autumn in New England is fantastic! Especially in October -- gloriously colored foliage -- burgundy, crimson, gold, flaming orange! On a sunny, cool, crisp day you might enjoy the heady aroma of burning wood smoke, sip a cup of hot mulled cider, and enjoy a slice of pumpking pie. Unbeatable!

Scott...I loved your Cabby...he really spoke the truth!!!

Am I the first Aussie to post today? No,beaten by Rosemary, Dan & Snerzok???
4th isn't bad. It's only 3.12am. Sore throat woke me up. Now I'm going back to bed. Nite all

Favorite Season: Anything but summer!!! I love the cool crisp days of fall with changing leaves, I love snow and bundling up for the cold and I love the new flowers and leaves in the spring. Just don't make it HOT!

Good mAen!

Go Hobbes! You ARE the man! Your time is nearly as amusing as Scott's joke. Thanks so much for the laugh.

p.s. 'hope your fingers, mouse and keyboard are insured!

Fall is my favorite. The colors, pumpkins, mums. Weather is cooler. Then there is Thanksgiving around the corner, my favorite holiday; food, fun and family.

(FYI: The first day of Fall is September 23, The Fall Equinox)

Favourite time of the year: Here in New Zealand we have Christmas right in the middle of summer - and Christmas on the beach is a always a pretty good day.

From what I remember (I left 40+ years ago), fall in Montana would be hard to beat. When I was younger, I really did like Texas summers and Montana winters, but I am now not so sure. LOL
I AM ready for this Texas summer to be over.

Off to conduct an interview, I just popped in to work the puzzle and read comments before there were too many. I will have to finish the end of yesterday's later.

3:04 I used to love those crisp dry Victorian autumns - Haven't seen one for a while now. Now I love those not quite so crisp 'dryish' (for a humid sort of place) mid dry seasons of the Top End.

January can be pretty hot in most parts of Australia- but 'everyone' is on holiday so that More...

Everyday that I wake up is a great day. But especially enjoy the change over seasons of Spring and Autumn. Dont even mind the chill of winter to refresh the body but not keen on the heat of summer.

3:55, I am getting better at Sudoko, my best time yet I think! This is my first post. My favourite time of year is Autumn and spring - not too hot and not too cold. I also agree with Lyn, great jigsaw site, but needs a timer.

All you guys should live in the west of Ireland where anything over 20 degrees is considered a very hot day, and a cold day only just hovers over freezing. Of course, we have a lot of rain, mist and damp to put up with, but at least we never get those horrible extremes

Fall! Picking apples and baking tons of pies to stick in the freezer, Husker football, high school football, pumpkin patches and hayrack rides, wearing sweatshirts, soups and stews, Halloween, sitting in front of the fire on a cool evening with my husband and kids.

Summer is my favorite time of year and I love hot weather, but enough is enough..too many scorching hot days! I am really looking forward to those early days of fall.
 |  |
love summer! I love the oppresive heat and the way everything bends to the power of the sun. I love waking up and the temperature already being in the low thirty's. I love driving in my car with no air conditioning down to Point Addis, and then walking down to the beach, and eventually flopping More...

Scott from Ohio...I loved your joke, I actually laughed out loud. Will have to send that on to my friends.
Favourite time of year used to be summer but it is way too hot and muggy here in Qld these days. I would have to say winter now as it's the coolest (which isn't much)it is ever going to get More...

Living on the coast, we don't really get 'proper' seasons, or get them all in one day!! LOL! I used to love Autumn and Spring when we were living in Canberra for the crispness and feeking of change

BERT & MAMACITA: I am glad you liked it!

I have an elderly customer that has become a good friend as well. He's a WWII vet as my father was and that makes him special to me. His 83rd birthday is next month and he sent me some 'elder' jokes. I've heard most of them, but I thought I'd More...

Morris, an 82 year-old man, went to the doctor to get a physical. A few days later, the doctor saw Morris walking down the street with a gorgeous young woman on his arm. A couple of days later, the doctor spoke to Morris and said, 'You're really doing great, aren't you?'
Morris replied, 'Just More...

A little old man shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly and painfully up onto a stool. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split.
The waitress asked kindly, 'Crushed nuts?'
'No,' he replied, 'Arthritis.'

A very elderly gentleman (mid nineties) very well dressed, hair well groomed, great looking suit, flower in his lapel smelling slightly of a good after shave, presenting a well looked-after image, walks into an upscale cocktail lounge. Seated at the bar is an elderly looking lady (mid eighties). More...
