Not many answers to yesterday's puzzle, just the Maryland bat, who doesn't appear to have anything else to do but wander around in her dressing gown, and the wicked witch of the west, who said it was easy. I'll hold on for a while before posting to see if Wonder Woman above submits an answer!

Fiona - thanks for holding. I found my answer and sent it in. Wonder Woman? That's what Little Plum is for Halloween. Yesterday she spray painted a golden lasso of truth and decorated a treat bag with stencils and acrylic paints.

Jerry - bring the wine. A complex cabernet sauvignon, I think, with hints of chocolate, black pepper and blackberry.

Fiona and Glenn - am sending answers to your puzzles. Whew. Gotta make lunch for everyone then I think I'll do some sudoku puzzles if I can find time (depends on Little Plum and Faun's afternoon school lessons).

everyone, all the talk of costumes today takes me back to when my son was about 10. The boy scouts were having a Halloween party, we were having a hard time thinking of a costume. He ended up being a mummy, I took an old sheet tore it into strips and we wrapped him. He had a hard time walking all wrapped up but he one first prize.

Have to go to Tulsa but it is and I don't like driving in heavy rain.

It is an interesting picture for the Halloween season. Spooky, witchy, and macabre. I am not sure about the caption.

Mo read through that whole long riddle AND sent in the correct answer? She hasn't had enough wine yet. I'll have to send her a bottle. She'll get nothing worth drinking from Jerry (though I guess he's worth inviting since he has the only corkscrew on the beach).

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida ...

Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation.
