Plum, your description makes me want to beg for a dinner invite. (I could probably get to Michigan in time for dinner).

How'd I do that?

HI all! Not many answers to yesterday's puzzle, just the Maryland bat, who doesn't appear to have anything else to do but wander around in her dressing gown, and the wicked witch of the west, who said it was easy. I'll hold on for a while before posting to see if Wonder Woman above submits an answer!

Here's today's one; answers to the ghostly inbox please!
Well hello there, new friends
It's a pleasure to meet you
I wonder if you'd indulge
The unique way I greet you

You see, I'm a player
Of a great many games
So instead of just telling you,
Maybe try guessing my More...

Fiona - thanks for holding. I found my answer and sent it in. Wonder Woman? That's what Little Plum is for Halloween. Yesterday she spray painted a golden lasso of truth and decorated a treat bag with stencils and acrylic paints.

Jerry - bring the wine. A complex cabernet sauvignon, I think, with hints of chocolate, black pepper and blackberry.

Fiona and Glenn - am sending answers to your puzzles. Whew. Gotta make lunch for everyone then I think I'll do some sudoku puzzles if I can find time (depends on Little Plum and Faun's afternoon school lessons).

Hope you made a BIG meal, Plum... There may be a lot of us there! (Said with mouth watering.)
Jerry, I live a lot closer to Plum... You may have a race on your hands!

everyone, all the talk of costumes today takes me back to when my son was about 10. The boy scouts were having a Halloween party, we were having a hard time thinking of a costume. He ended up being a mummy, I took an old sheet tore it into strips and we wrapped him. He had a hard time walking all wrapped up but he one first prize.

Why did the ghost go to the fair?

... So he could ride the roller - ghoster!

The Japanese prefer their sashimi fish live, so when you touch them they roll their eyes and twitch their tails.

Five ways to stop an attack by Dracula:
1. Never go to Transylvania for a holiday
2. Get 'cross'
3. Use garlic aftershve
4. Contract malaria
5. Give him a blood transfusion instead

By the way they work.
I've never been attacked by Dracula

Why did the skeleton climb the tree?

... Because the dog was after his bones!

Plum, I guess I'm out of luck. I don't do "complex", "hints", etc... I also don't do corks, they are so "last century". (Actually, the last "beach Luau" I went to in Hawaii, I had the only corkscrew. Great "icebreaker".)

Pagan Pink Ripple (cripple) was good. Where did it go???

BTW, I just hate it when I'm "invited" to dinner and "conditions" are imposed. Ha!

Sue, you needs to stop the waterworks. Seriously. Those clouds are heading our way!
We homeschoolers did a party once for the kids where teams of kids had a race to take a roll of TP and turn the moms into "mummies."
30/Oct/09 3:12 AM

Jerry - you have to stop your "waterworks," too.

Shiela, since w(h)ine's off the menu, and my "guest" from Whaaaa state isn't showing up , how about bringing some lime sweet tea? I made a pitcher last week and it was gone much too fast.

I'll be right over, Plum!
And I'll bring the horseradish (real, of course) in case Gerry changes his mind!

Gerry, I remember some Boone's Farm apple wine ...that I'd very much like to forget!

It is an interesting picture for the Halloween season. Spooky, witchy, and macabre. I am not sure about the caption.

Mo read through that whole long riddle AND sent in the correct answer? She hasn't had enough wine yet. I'll have to send her a bottle. She'll get nothing worth drinking from Jerry (though I guess he's worth inviting since he has the only corkscrew on the beach).

Everyone concentrates on the problems we're having in this country lately: illegal immigration, hurricane recovery, alligators attacking people in Florida ...

Not me. I concentrate on solutions for the problems. It's a win-win situation.

One more "parting shot"....

Apple announced today that it has developed a breast implant that can
store and play music. The iTit will cost from $499 to $699, depending on
cup and speaker size. This is considered a major social breakthrough,
because women are always complaining about men staring at their breasts
and not listening to them.

YouTube video from long ago to set the halloween mood. The show was on every Saturday night at midnight for nearly 30 years and the Host was often more entertaining than the movie selection.

Jerry is on good form today! And Mamacita even managed two answers to the same puzzle and they were both right.
