Ed, Thanks for the comic names - I am going to be looking for them - looks like we have similar tastes. I checked at Barnes & Noble for the Calvin & Hobbes collection - the list is $150, but it was listed on their website at $120 and then 10% off that. If I can get it at that price, I will probably get it when I return to town!

Jan is pretty tired she spends all day every day with her mother. Richard runs away from me for some reason when i go to give him a handshake, he says it hurts. Anyway off to buy stuff for the computer.

fi & mel - thanks for the primer on Aussies rule footy - looks like something fun to look at! I used to watch it on ESPN years ago - always enjoyed it.
To all (those that care) - I am off for a week to the Texas Hill Country with 30 7th - 9th graders for the week.
Keep the curmudgeons in line and I will check out the dramas and discussions next weekend.

It appears the girls love each other by their hugs. Love is a great thing to share.

Billie: loved the dog's story, but you left out my little Cain terrier...guess he'll have to join the Jack Russell bouncing all over. Eden, Elias can't keep weeing on you...he's getting to be a big boy and they like to aim...maybe it WAS ED...Nurn , maybe we'll come up with something yet...
 |  |
Jamie have a great last week of summer. Good reading too. You will be missed while gone and we'll be happy with your return. Happy Anniversary toyou both...take time for a little one on one before you live...wink, wink!
 |  |
oh ,my...'before you leave' ....
 |  |
What the hell would women know about sports anyway. Only two places for women and one of them isn't accompanying her mate to the footy.
 |  |
Ed, I discover that we share a common interest in the same comics as you talk to others ...small world. Hope this is a great day for all. Good night for now...sweet dreams or a great breakfast, whichever is your choice.

Mamacita,
You know I love you, but your spelling is, oh my. If I did it, that would be normal. You need that smiley. Have a super sunday.
 |  |
Mamacita, Was Calvin and Hobbes one of your favorites? I always got a kick out of him and his teacher.

jamie, The new C&H collection will bring you so much laughter, and your son when he reads it.

Ed, What did I do now...Sipping on cuba libra's so anything may have gone pass me, but I did try to check...or are you just pulling my leg again, watch out...the naughty room is still open, and its been empty for awhile since Rosemary got free! If you keep flashing all of those cute smilies at me, I'm going to have you intercede(sp) with Gath so I can get some too.

watching 'The Fighting 69th' on TCM. Saw a sign on what was supposed to be a French cafe 'Anglish
spoken. American understood.
Ain't it the truth! LOL

Taz from Queensland - You stirrer...Yes in Oz there is rivalry between types of footy as well as between states and teams.

Rose, Good explanation! You don't sound quite one-eyed enough to be a Maggie supporter. lol. I actually like to see the pies win... enough games to get in the More...

PS Will someone go and hide Chauvinist's remote control. That would frustrate the heck out of him. ;) PS - leave the tellie on the wrong channel before you hide the remote too. hee hee
 |  |
Stick to the kitchen and the bedroom fi and leave all the electronics and other stuff to us blokes. PS - the remote comes when she is called to change channels (.)(.)!
 |  |
Sorry Mate! I'm off to the office! Someone has to bring home the bacon... Meanwhile - enjoy watching 'Days Of Our Lives'... Where did I put that remote?
 |  |
Obviously that should be still watching footy, although my foot is something to behold!
 |  |
PS Chauvinist... Just for you, I hope the dockers lose... even though I've backed them.
 |  |
Nah mate, the Blues deserve to stay on the bottom. If they can only manage a draw against Sheedy's Shambles, (although I must admit they went ok against the Lions), then there is no hope for them. Dockers in a canter.
 |  |
wow! its like...a life on sudoku. do all you people know each other just through this thing?
 |  |
Mamacita, we were in the shower when he did the wee, he gets very excited by all the water. He just likes to add to the flow...
 |  |
Well, I hope that the Dockers do win now as the Cats (always heartbreakers- and I think that they have dropped in to Bradman's again) have lost it and the Dees are struggling. I need a few tips to maintain some creedence.

Yep I'm at work but it's SUNDAY and I have one eye on the footy More...

would gladly leave the electronics to you - more chance of you being zapped to a crisp.

Ugggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh...talking about electric blankets make me feel physically ill...it's so hot here I am nauseous. Silly sun.

4;20...have a lovely day.

Montanan's are accustomed to wearing a sweater at -4F (-20C), consider -22F (-30C) cold, and remark on -40 (C and F the same). BUT, Montanans are not accustomed to 104F (+40C).

Since my ozzie friends will get your turn in another few months let me tell you the good part.

+40 is just More...

Half time and the Dees have hit the front.

Except, Thad, here in most parts of Australia, we are not allowed to sprinkle lawns or gardens.

Lawn sprinkler? I wish!!

The first sentence of this joke should indicate whether or not you should carry on - you are warned

Jesus dies and goes up to Heaven. The first thing he does is look for his father, as he has never met the man before and is curious as to what he looks like, and whether or not Jesus looks More...

Impossible to please!!

A group of girlfriends is on vacation when they see a 5-story hotel with a sign that reads: 'For Women Only.' Since they are without their boyfriends and husbands, they decide to go in.
The bouncer, a very attractive guy, explains to them how it works. 'We have 5 More...

jamie From texas - Rosemary gave a good explanation of the types of footy we play in Aust - her only problem is that she is a Magpie supporter.... Ptui!!!

I prefer rugby (rugby union). It is different from rugby league (league). League was derived from rugby and is a simpler version (A More...

Hugh - no comment on last night's game?

Toowoomba rejected recycled water. What is the matter with the general populatio. What is wrong with the Politicians? Why would they go to a referndum. They always come out in the negative anyway. The problem is that the media and the nay sayers keep refering to it as re-cycled sewage. It is infact More...
