Keith, times have really changed. I started PT one week after my shoulder surgery. I had to wear the band around my stomach for 4 weeks until I saw the doctor for my check up. I do have to wear the band but only at night so I won't do something stupid in my sleep.

everyone!

We are having some nice weather here today. It's sunny and 73° at the moment. Very unusual for the end of July in this area. It's supposed to be quite cool for awhile.
Of course, we purposely made plans to go to More...

y'all! Right at 80º, and sunny. Should get up to 87º - about 10º cooler than it has been. Low humidity as well. Too bad I'm at work and can't enjoy it.

Sue, when hubby had his shoulder surgery he said one of the worst things with recovery was having his arm immobilized for so long. This was about 8 years ago and he had to contend with it longer than 4 weeks. I think it was 6.

Poozle time!

Each of the 6-letter words below can be broken down into two common 3-letter words.
Example: NOTIFY = FIN TOY.

HELIUM
LATEST
ALMOND
ELDEST
SAFETY
RADIUM
DESERT
WEALTH
TRICKY
FUNNEL

Answers to my ''What the heck is a fin toy?'' inbox, please.

Karin did the most pushups, at 23.

T + K = 43
K + S = 41
S + T = 38

Solve the first and second equations so T = 43 − K and S = 41 − K. Plug these into the third equation, and solve for K. Now plug this answer back into More...

I wasn't around for any of the discussions with Fiona about the word awesome but I thought about her today. Little boy asked if awesome was a real world.

Well on this fine day, I'm going to buy a niche in a cemetery for me and my hubby. It dawned on me that I should prepare for that last good bye so that it will be easier on my kids. My dad did that and everything was prepared for ahead of time.

My brothers and I were able to do everything that my dad wanted. We didn't quarrel over choices trying to second guess my dad. We didn't have sticker shock nor had to weigh between respect and affordability. A funeral, prep and service, and burial plot can run into tens of thousands of dollars. When you prepare you know your ashes won't end up in the sea, the cheapest way of dealing with this.

Let's start a dental debate. Implant vs bridge.

Since it was such a nice day we did some much needed work on the back patio. Things just seemed to pile up back there. Had to find a home for all the {I don't know where to put it} items we brought from the other house.

Implant vs bridge....My dentist actually recommended a bridge because the teeth on either side were healthy. To say nothing of the fact that it was a heck of a lot cheaper! Much simpler procedure, too.
That said, I know plenty of people who have been very happy with an implant.

I have decided that hubby and I need to run away from home for a couple of days. At least from all the darn stuff I still have to resolve of my dad's estate.

So we will go to a small seaside town a couple of hours from here and be responsible free tourists.

Cats are not too happy with the idea because they'll have to survive on dry food for at least a day. They whine when I'm late serving them canned stuff, twice a day.
