Wish I could get out there. I could probably use some new skis. Mine are 25 years old!

Never went skiing when I lived a few years in Utah. Sledding and skating was my delight!

Sue - Poor Olivia! Life can be so unfair. What kind of cancer does she have, and when was it diagnosed?

I started skiing when I met Jaime. It was either take up the sport or not see him from Thanksgiving to Easter! He basically grew up on skis in Chile.

Unfortunately, Jaime is no longer able to ski, but he has been encouraging me to take it up again. It didn't take much encouraging, I have to admit!

Olivia has leukemia, I believe it is ALL. Was told that the survival rate for this type of leukemia is 95 percent. She was diagnosed on 09 April this year. Got sidetracked on Facebook, so I'm still at the computer. Sue, while I'm sorry Olivia has cancer, I'm glad it's leukemia. Childhood leukemia DOES have a good survival rate. The grandson of a good Richmond friend of ours had leukemia, went through all the chemo, etc., and has totally recovered!

Oh, Sue, that poor baby and you and your family, of what you have to live through. I will keep you and your family in my thoughts.
