The reason that you and many other people on this site have not heard of dabchick or landrail is because they are the common English names for a couple of birds which, in other places in the world, are named differently. Harry bought me a new toy a couple of weeks ago. It's a photo converter, I finally had a chance to use it. Just insert the photo to be copied, picture can be saved to the PC or pictuer can save to a memory card.
I know what I will be doing this winter, as I have boxes of pictures I would like to copy on to memory stick.

I have asked Jill to join us, not because she is doing all those Monday domestic things, but so the Phantom does not think she is my imaginary friend.

Grass-hopper and hubby are on their way now. They are wonderful people.... I felt like we had been lifelong friends.

Called my niece, Olivia is coming home today. Her blood counts are good now. Olivia has now lost all of her hair, she has an idea that she has no hair but has not seen herself.

Sue - I am so glad Olivia is out of the hospital and hope she starts feeling better soon. It is so hard for a small child to go through what's she's experiencing. And equally so for the family. Patience and perseverance are key. There IS light at the end of the tunnel. ♥Jane

Sue, pleased Olivia is back home. Infection/ Temperature is always a worry when they are on Chemo. Some of our $2 type shops have party wigs. If you buy her some pretty hats you could stitch a small amount of that 'hair' at the edge of the hat. Could be fun for her.
