Good Morning everyone. Yesterday we were supposed to have a dusting to "maybe an inch" of snow. We ended up with 3-4 inches of snow out there. Our heat wave continues. Hoping for it to get a bit cooler before tomorrow. Big storm to push through. If it doesn't get cooler, we'll have ice instead of snow. Have a good Day, I'm off to shovel.

It is pouring outside! Heavily! It's wet! The cat is going hysterical and I'm awed! My gosh, I think it's rain! It's been doing that a lot lately. At the local nature preserve, Madrona Marsh, the vernal ponds are filling up and of course the mallard ducks have returned. I saw an American coot yesterday fot the first time this year. An odd bird, black all over except for a white beak.

Except for the green head on the mallard, and the bright red epalets on the red-winged blackbird, and the iridescence of the rufous and Anna's hummingbirds, the rest are a drab brown or black. Ooops forgot the scrub jays, they're blue.

Sharon, are you trying to figure out what other birds have colors around you?

Angie! Well after seeing Anne's bird in her daughter's backyard, I realize that the ones I see in my backyard are sooooo drab. Full of character but, rats!, mainly browns and blacks.

Oh wait, I did see a cinnamon teal at the marsh. That name strikes me as being paradoxical. A reddish brown blue bird!

Thanks mizTricia yes I've had the same problem before. One time I didn' realise I'd set up automatic so paid again ending up with 2 pages, that is how I changed from Ganniemo to GrannieMo
