Good Morning everyone. Yesterday we were supposed to have a dusting to "maybe an inch" of snow. We ended up with 3-4 inches of snow out there. Our heat wave continues. Hoping for it to get a bit cooler before tomorrow. Big storm to push through. If it doesn't get cooler, we'll have ice instead of snow. Have a good Day, I'm off to shovel.

Maen Sudoluland! I am happy to be here today. Much easier trip than yesterday.

Weather report from Alabama, USA. Warm and getting warmer. this week's highs are mid 60's to 70's. I think that is 16-24 C. Lots of rain, showers and t storms mentioned. Unseasonably warm.

Angie, you are very observant! No suporting membership for Grannie Mo would certainly send her back to the animated Ads page!

Did you loose your membership card, GrannieMo?

Instead I shal go walk the dog before the sun sets and Jack Frost gets started for the night. Might just take my camera. Though dog leash and camera don;t always work well together.

...and according to Lewis Carroll if it is not your birthday, it is your un-birthday so a very merry un-birthday to us, to us. I think it was sung at the Mad Hatters Tea Party

Have just been along the river bank with dog. Not a day for walking slowly and not well wrapped up the wind is increasing and as the sun gets closer to the horizon what little heat it had is going fast

First I must apologize to Anne! Gave credits to Rosemary when I should have to Anne! I most abjectly apologize, Anne! But I am still envious! Wow! Australia has the most colorful birds!

Ganniemo, please take this with you as you and Steve celebrate your silver anniversary! My hubby and I had a quiet night out too. As quietly as you can at a yacht club. Especially when we raced all day with sooo many others. We didn't win but we had a great day!

It is pouring outside! Heavily! It's wet! The cat is going hysterical and I'm awed! My gosh, I think it's rain! It's been doing that a lot lately. At the local nature preserve, Madrona Marsh, the vernal ponds are filling up and of course the mallard ducks have returned. I saw an American coot yesterday fot the first time this year. An odd bird, black all over except for a white beak.

Except for the green head on the mallard, and the bright red epalets on the red-winged blackbird, and the iridescence of the rufous and Anna's hummingbirds, the rest are a drab brown or black. Ooops forgot the scrub jays, they're blue.

Angie! Well after seeing Anne's bird in her daughter's backyard, I realize that the ones I see in my backyard are sooooo drab. Full of character but, rats!, mainly browns and blacks.

Oh wait, I did see a cinnamon teal at the marsh. That name strikes me as being paradoxical. A reddish brown blue bird!

I'll save all the good jokes Fiona for when you are up and running again. I had a problem with my yahoo recently but my problem it sent everything in triplicate over and over again. It forgot to tell itself I'd already read and cleared them. Very annoying whilst it lasted. Thanks for the good wishes
